I have already messaged the host about our stay. Pros- Host response is quick and efficient. Location allows easy access to multiple areas of Jacksonville. A few modern upgrades have been completed to improve the aesthetics of the home. Good amount of space in the home, driveway, and yard. Plenty of toiletries for 2 people for a 5 night stay. Couch and beds are very comfortable. Cons- Please Read before renting: Address was not listed correctly and it took us to a different location. Picture of outside of home sent to us does not appear to be a recent one. House number and walkway are not easily viewed at night. Algae on front and back step entrances are slippery when damp. Front yard is mowed, but back yard is in disarray- not mowed, fence boards missing, and debris/ dirt on patio. Grill is in disrepair. No adequate lighting outside for nighttime safety. 3 trash cans under covered patio are full of trash and smell TERRIBLE! The home has NO OVEN….(They offer a small, toaster oven) Drawer fronts under kitchen sink fall off every time you close the cabinet doors. Ceiling plaster in one of the bathrooms is falling and in poor condition. Stench smell when water is running. House has a bit of a sewage smell in the bathrooms. You can hear the highway from this unit and a local rooster at 3:30am every morning.
