Stylish beach front retreat
Guest wing: Private access to chic bathroom, luxurious bedroom and comfortable, stylish living/dining area, all for your exclusive use.
Directly opposite the beach and walking/cycling tracks of Jan Juc - Bells Beach - Torquay, with their stunning lookouts. A 200 metre stroll to Jan Juc village and cafes, pub, store etc., or relax on the rooftop balcony and enjoy sweeping ocean views.
Quiet, peaceful and secure location, but with easy access to Torquay and the Great Ocean Rd.
The studio is a beautiful, restful space. Sparklingly clean, with split system heating/cooling and high end furnishings, fittings and bedding (queen size) providing for a cosy, comfortable and relaxing stay.
The kitchenette has a kettle, mini-fridge, microwave, toaster and coffee machine. It is stocked with a selection of teas, coffee (pods and instant), milk and sugar.
The living room includes a dining table, breakfast bar, couch and coffee table - with still more space to de-stress on the yoga mat.
A separate office bench provides a dedicated work desk.
The bathroom features a luxurious Aio Aurajet twin shower.
Architecturally designed, Ocean Break was purpose built for guests, and is not a converted bedroom.
Our roof top balcony, accessible via an external staircase (2 flights), is a wonderful place to sit and relax, whilst enjoying uninterrupted, extensive sea (and valley/town) views.
The location allows you to walk out the front gate and immediately enjoy views, walks or rides along the coastal track between Torquay and Bells Beach. For those who prefer to chill, Netflix, youtube etc. are available on the android t.v. in your bedroom.
Alternatively, use the suite as an ideal base to enjoy day trips along the Great Ocean Road and Bellarine Peninsula.
For surfers, iconic Bird Rock and Steps surf breaks are a 7-10 minute walk and Bells Beach/Winki is a 5-7 minute drive.
The studio is attached to the rear of our house, overlooking a shared back lawn (facing a cottage opposite), with both translucent and block out blinds to ensure your privacy whilst in the suite.
You have a private entry (completely separate to the house entry) that is lockable from both inside and outside, with your own key.
Entry to the property is via a gate that we also use.
Access is not wheel chair accessible, as it has steps.
- Diversity and inclusion are important to us and everybody is welcome here.
- We do not allow portable stoves, induction cooktops etc. and/or flames of any kind in the guest suite, as we do not have an extraction fan - and there isn't a stove/cooktop.
- Ocean views can be enjoyed from the rooftop balcony (not your guest suite), as well as glorious sunrises and sunsets. (Being on the edge of the ocean, it is sometimes windy 'up top'!)
- Half Moon Bay lookout is just a 1-2 minute walk
- You may see us wander across the lawn, or working in the backyard.
- On occasion, guests may be accommodated in our upstairs studio. It is identical to downstairs, other than the dining table and couch location. For your privacy, we only host ONE booking at a time.
