Are large group of us were in town for hot rod power tour. The rooms look nothing like rhe pictures...much smaller. My room smelled of smoke pretty bad, while others were complaining that their rooms smelled so bad of pinesol and had to leave their doors open, while they sat in the parking lot and let them air out. I don't know what's worse.. Smoke or pinesol. In our room, paint was peeling, furni was held together with tissues and dead bed bugs on floor. Saw one live one in the bathroom and killed it. Many of the tenants appear to be living here weekly or monthly... Strong smell of "smoke" outside many rooms. Everything combined just made for a restless night of sleep. Kept feeling like things were crawling on me...
I was denied my room because I didn't arrive before 4pm. The event was attending did not end until 5pm. Even though I called days in advance to CONFIRM my reservation! I will never ever try to stay at a Red Roof Inn nor will I ever use Expedia for my reservations. I had to drive almost 200 miles to find a room even though I was assured my room was CONFIRMED just days before. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE?!?
Honestly, we didn't even bother to check in. This is an old-style motel; two stories with external walkways to get to each room. The place is a mess and there were some strange people wandering around the property. Your basic no-tell motel or flop house. We ended up driving closer to our next destination and found a nicer hotel there. If this is all you can barely afford, then maybe it works. Otherwise spend a bit more and stay away
We was traveling with others. We got there first. Checked in and lady was rude about them charging my card that AM. I was gonna pay a different way. So i asked the lady why do u have pay at hotel if you guys run the card that is on file without even asking. Yes i have my debit card on there. But was gonna pay with my credit card to get my points. Lady was very rude about it. Said well thats what we do. So after my other travelers got to the place. We asked to move to a room closer to them so we could hange out and just be closer. The lady again was very rude to us. But the manager who talked to our other person was nice. Said she was new and that we could infact change rooms. We went to eat since I was upset over the lady being rude to us since we had got there. Went to talk to them again about changing the room. And again the lady was rude about it. Said we couldnt. And the manager had just left... room its self was ok. Does need a good cleaning. And the beds were not very good.
Lived here for six months, can’t complain. Best prices around and they treated us right and left us alone as long as you pay no problems here. We will definitely use again if I had to.
