Paid more than what was listed. Be careful.

Would’ve liked to know about the extra “property fee” that was added on after I reserved this resort. I thought I was paying what I saw when booking but that was not true. It was a significant amount. Hotels.com should’ve revealed the property fee up front. Be careful and review your itinerary.

Property is in a great location for everything you would want or need for your Maui vacation. Restaurants, Whalers Village, Kaapanali golf course are all very close. Rooms are very clean, updated and the kitchens are fully stocked for cooking. Pool area is nice with quite a few chairs available. Best part is you are right by the ocean and really no need to drive very far for anything...except a a Costco run.

Fee atop fees atop fees 3x!! Don’t stay here

We were told we’d have a garden unit. It was next to a mall with air conditioning noise 24/7. Also the FEES!!!!! We had he usual taxes and a resort fee but also an additional $350 service fee. The room cost was 2x. We were told it was for maid service. We did not get maid service. Also the he WiFi is SLOW!!! Don’t let these people rip you off. It’s not Hotels.com it’s the Whaler!! Also, the staff short of the bellman were awful.

We stayed 10 nights at the Whaler, we had a studio with ocean view and a kitchen. The hotel was very nice, the bed was really comfortable. The staff was very nice and really responsive.

I highly recommend this resort. Its prime location near the beach makes it incredibly convenient for guests, and it’s just a short distance from all the main coral reef tour departures. The proximity to local attractions and activities adds great value to the stay, especially for those looking to explore the natural beauty of the area.

The resort charged me $165 for resort fees. These are condos with a shared pool. No other services. It is my understanding that the resort fees are included in the total price on Expedia so this was an unpleasant surprise. Our room had cockroaches and other bugs. No services. I am not happy about this charge and no resort amenities. I had cockroached and bugs in my room
