Turtle Bay Estates - Review
Positives: Spacious inside. King sized bed very comfortable. Lots of extra bedding/pillows. Kitchen fully equipped - huge array of plates, utensils, etc. Lots of storage space/cupboards in the kitchen. Excellent view of the golf course, fifteen-minute walk to the beach. Great air flow – every room has a ceiling fan so no need for a/c. Pool very clean and uncrowded.
Issues: Leakage in the bathroom ceiling from upstairs toilet. Reported to maintenance, they came within five minutes to see it. Moldy/musty smell throughout unit upon arrival. Very noisy – construction going on in upstairs unit, including weekends; power-washing of sidewalks, close to helicopter pad (begins at 8 am and goes on throughout the day).
Beach chairs are very small – 2 for children, one for an adult, very low to the ground – might be difficult for some adults to get in and out of.
Lanai screen doors are very stiff and awkward to open/close.
Couch is very uncomfortable to sleep on and not wide enough for two people (the metal bar digs into your back/hips).
Unit was not thoroughly cleaned – furniture has not been moved and floors/surfaces swept/mopped for some time.
Expensive Beach House restaurant close by. Nearest supermarket is 6.4 miles away (Foodland) but lots of traffic and roadworks, so give yourself 30 – 60 minutes drive time, each way.
