Really nice low key resort, nice balcony 50 feet from the ocean. Ocean walkway along the front, can walk or bike. Walking distance to cute town restaurants and shops. To address some of the issues in other peoples’ reviews, noise from upstairs was noticeable but not bad. We didn’t use the AC in the living room, but important AC (in the bedrooms) was great. One design flaw of this resort is the AC machinery is on the balcony, so it’s noisily running if any of the units are turned on. Luckily we mostly had the AC off except when sleeping so it wasn’t too bad. Some of the other units had covers that would not help noise but at least make the AC machine less ugly. Only issues came up when the keypad stopped working on the only nice day of the trip (it rained 4 days straight). We were locked out for 30 minutes as the key pad died, the spare key box was too rusted over to move, and so we were in the phone with VRBO. Friendly guy came in a hour to fix everything, very efficient. Seems like something that should be on a checklist every rental, not something where the first two key options fail.Also-must check in at front desk, which is different from other vrbos I’ve done. They give key cards for common areas. Staff friendly but then if anything comes up like you’re locked out, they are not empowered to do anything to help-they say call the owner. Unsure why to add that extra step, a hybrid of a hotel and a vrbo. That said we would return! Love the location, upkeep, and vibe.
