Cutting the cattails in the ditch at the sound entrance to the property would improve visibility of oncoming traffic. And it's a pretty bare-looking property. There's not much nearby. Some attention to landscaping would help, maybe some trees. It shows the owner cares and is actively trying to attract people.

Was Not Overly Happy

We had booked a ground floor due to our age and amount we travelled with. We had to book an additional night prior, and could not do that through Hotels.com. We called for a room, and they committed to give us the prior night for the same room we booed so we do not have to move. We arrived and told us we only had a 2nd floor room (no elevator, but could move again to the ground floor the next day. We were very upset, it was difficult for us to bring our stuff upstairs on the hot day. We did not move since we had already set up the room. The room itself was very clean and spacious, fridge/freezer and microwave. WIFI was okay. The Window though is really dirty and needs cleaning. We arrived at 7:30 am for breakfast, and there were only dry crumbs of eggs and 3 cold Breakfast sausages. Breakfast was supposed to be from 6-10 am. I asked the desk attendee, and she asked me if she should make more. We left with minimal breakfast. Other days they had breakfast, but it is powdered eggs, and dry sausage. It was much better the last time we stayed here several years ago. The A/C in the room is undersized and ran continuously. The cleaning staff had to be asked to empty our garbage and replace towels. They were very nice and friendly.

We were still thinking that the hotel name was Ramada, and we had not been advised differently. We passed it by on the way into Lindsay, but didn't realize that it was the hotel we were looking for. I had hoped that we would not be on the ground floor and asked if that could be changed, but I was told that they were all booked up. Rooms are not usually assigned ahead of time, however, so we could have been moved. It was okay to be on the main floor, but it gives a person a feeling of being confined. Also, I was a front desk clerk, and I have always had my credit card taken in case charges are put against the room, but I was surprised that the clerk asked for the payment right away. It was just different. We also found that there was little selection for food and I was hoping for at least a continental style breakfast. Cereal, toast and coffee seemed to size it up. There was no fruit, and little hot items like bacon, sausage, eggs. Having stayed at some Holiday Inns where you have pretty good choices, it didn't fare well.

Last minute trip for a death in the family. Hubby and I stayed one night. This was my second stay at this hotel in three weeks. Easy check in and check out. Super comfy king sized bed. Clean room. Clean bathroom. Could have used a notepad/pen as I had a call come in and I was scrambling to write an important number on a kleenex! Unfortunately I totally forgot about the note and tossed the kleenex!! Usually there's a complimentary one in a hotel room. Oh well. We planned to have breakfast but ran out of time so we didn't sample anything. Coffee in the room was fine. There was a fridge but no microwave. Tons of parking. Front desk staff were friendly.

The hotel was in the perfect location for what I needed during my stay in Lindsay. Bed was over the top comfy. Fantastic. Breakfast was ok. It got us through till lunch. Toast, bagels, bananas, waffles, peameal and scrambled eggs appeared on day two. We were too late on the first morning. Cereal, milk, juice. Machine coffee so I imagine it's a mix. It was ok but weak. :) The hot/cold fluctuation in the shower caused some scrambling but it was managable. Staff was pleasant and accommodating. I couldn't climb stairs so I ended up with a great ground floor room. No coffee/tea available after breakfast. It would have been nice. You can make some in your room though. Atmosphere in the breakfast area was very quiet and relaxing. Rooms were very clean and not perfumed to mask odor which I appreciated. This is my second stay at this hotel. I didn't enjoy my first time but this time made up for it. Well done!
