Check-in after hours is through a sister hotel. The clerk was able to get us our key, written directions and instructions, and absolutely nothing else. Wasn't even able to advise if any restaurants or even fast food was open. Finding our room was a little challenging at night but the worst part was parking. Had to drop off bags and park in "overflow" at a neighboring restaurant then walk roughly 1/4 mile to our room. Not a pleasant experience after midnight and traveling all day.

I’ve stayed at Marina Del Mar many times; the staff is amazing. Breakfast is above average, good selection of hot / cold food. Property is clean, well maintained, even though it’s older. Slightly dated rooms but comfortable beds. The interior of the rooms have been painted and updated the past few years. The mirrored closets could use a remodel.

I gave this hotel 1–2 stars mainly because, while the room smelled clean, it was very dusty and noticeably outdated. The shower curtain even had visible mold, which was disappointing. On the positive side, the staff was genuinely friendly, parking was easy, and the tiki bar food was delicious. Breakfast was decent as well. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning. This place really needs some serious updates and better attention to cleanliness-especially when it comes to dusting and replacing shower curtains.

The rooms needed some TLC as the furniture was pretty beat up and the showerhead was taped up and could not be adjusted. However, the room was clean and the beds comfortable. Since we weren't spending much time in the room, it was fine. The amenities were great!! A very nice pool, with a terrific tiki bar and restaurant with great food. The complimentary continental breakfast was very nice as well. The marina is beautiful and we totally enjoyed our sta. We would choose to stay here again in the future.

I've been coming to this resort since the 80's so obviously a place I like. That being said, this stay was mediocre at best. The closet doors didn't work and the blinds didn't close all the way. We had some idiots that were partying next door and moving furniture around midnight so no sleeping that night. Everything else was OK. (the breakfast was old pre-made sandwiches) I'll still be back the next time I visit the Keys.

We had a studio suite which fit our special needs for dealing with our scuba equipment. Easy access to Rainbow Reef dive operators and local cuisine. Friendly staff and even had pickleball courts we could have played on if we had time!! Will be back!!

The pics on Orbitz are deceptive. The room was old, dirty, dilapidated and there was another couple I met who said exactly the same thing about their room. It looked like something out of the 70’s. The only positive was the rear of the property that faces the canals. You can walk around, look at the boats and have something to eat and drink. The room was an utter disaster and not at all what I’m accustomed too. Plus, it was $240 and should have been $99. I would never ever consider recommending it or going back.
