The breakfast food and coffee were not good and did not taste fresh. However, the bedroom was comfortable. I was also disappointed that there was no mini refrigerator in the room to store my drinks. Additionally, there was no one available on-site during check-in hours, which required me to go to Howard Johnson to pick up the key and then return. I also had difficulty finding the room because Howard Johnson provided incorrect building information.

Nice location along the marina. Within walking distance of two good restaurants. Facilities need updating, e.g., we couldn’t open either closet because the sliding doors were off their tracks. The room was not very clean.

The entire place is deteriorating. Things stick, leak, stains need painting. They advertise Skippers Restaurant, which is C to C+ food for A+ money, and the menu hasn't changed in a decade!

The staff was very helpful and nice, price was reasonable, and location is convenient. But facilities are very worn (broken tiles, missing handles on nightstand, chipped countertops) and the hot tub by pool is basically a narrow slot with no seating. Also, since the outside walkway led right by our sliding doors and another room's door opened right onto the outside seating area by the sliders, if we wanted privacy we had to keep the shutters closed, which meant we couldn't enjoy the view of the marina as much as we hoped. Still would recommend it, but could be much nicer with just a little updating.

The rooms, the bathrooms, the pool area, threception area, etc. were so so clean. Staff were wonderful, helpful, and kind. We would stay there again!!! Id only suggest that they get toasters for the rooms with kitchens, and for breakfast.

Dirty room, hair all over the door and place. Curtains wouldn’t shut, had to use hair clips to keep them shut so I could sleep without people peering in. Have photos of all this! Disappointing. Checked in at 130am after long day of travel, checked out at 10am and went elsewhere.

We enjoyed our stay at Marina Del Mar Resort and Marina. The room was very clean and staff was kind and helpful. Location was amazing, two restaurants, glass bottom boat rides and fishing party boats within steps of our room. The dock was nice and we saw lots of wildlife. I would definitely book this place again.

Rooms are old and falling apart. There were ants crawling all over the kitchen counter. If you think you are opening the sliding glass door to your own balcony, think again. The slider won’t open due to age, neglect, etc., and it opens to a community balcony. So when you have your slider curtains open, anyone that walks by can see right into your room. It was just an old, aging resort that seems no one is taking care of. For the price it is a ‘never again’ stay for me.
