Things we loved about mariners watch:Very clean, lots of wildlife to watch on the back patio, biking trails access out front door, very short walk to the shore, view of water lagoon from back patio, villa has everything you need esp in kitchen and nothing you don’t-no junk, all white decor with clean lines, patio is perfect for coffee in the mornings, bike rack by front door, easy to bike to breakfast/lunch/dinner, 25 min bike ride to Freshfield grocery and shopping area, local ground coffee in kitchen, playing cards under tv, great tvs in sitting room and bedroom, comfy bed lots of pillows, listening to the wind blow the palm trees on the back patio is so peaceful Keep in mind: 2nd floor villa, no ocean view, no pool access, perfect for max two guests

We had a delightful stay at this condo! Great location and super comfortable bed. Our only complaint would be that the kitchen is a bit lacking in terms of utensils, plates, and cookware. If you’re just using it for a weekend getaway, I suppose you wouldn’t be bothered. We were there for the better part of two weeks and had to run the dishwasher every day to make sure we had utensils for the next day, had to figure out logistics to make the smallest colander work for a pasta dinner, minor quibbles like that. Otherwise, everything was great.

Perfect location

This is the 2nd time we have stayed in this condo, and we have had a great experience both times. The bed is comfortable, the kitchen has everything we need, and we loved sitting on the screen porch with our coffee while watching a heron hunting fish in the marsh below. The beach is a short walk away and the bike trail is right outside the door. Riding bikes is our favorite way to see everything on the island!

Relaxing and awesome location

We loved this location and quiet atmosphere! It made our stay very relaxing. So close to the beach that we were able to enjoy it more than we normally would if staying somewhere more inland.Be aware that there are somewhat high steps to get to the villa. It wasn’t a problem for us, but might be for others trying to carry suitcases, etc. Also, the dishwasher makes a tapping sound heard in the bedroom when in use. Overall, it was delightful and we will be returning!!

The Holy City

If you have never visited Charleston, you will want to stay here in Kiawah. We were away from the crowds of a beach. My Wife and I discovered the many beautiful sea creatures of sand dollars, star fish, and crabs. Our beach one bedroom was perfect at the Mariners Watch with a walk of 200 feet. Holy Spirit Church was 6 miles for worship and praise to God. What a beautiful faith community. Food on Johns island was delicious at the Crazy Owl and Giligans. My wife and I traveled for my God son's wedding at Wingate Place. Food and the night was outstanding for the Groom and his wife. Angel Oak is worth seeing as a marvel to Our Heavenly Father!

Well-appointed little one-bedroom steps from the beach

My wife and I really enjoyed our six-night stay in mid-May. The property was very clean and is well maintained. It's in a quiet, wooded spot right behind the beachfront villas, so it's just a 2-minute walk to the beach. The screened deck overlooks a lagoon and has a helpful ceiling fan; we would often sit out there with our drinks and listen for different birds. The villa is perfectly sized for two, and renting slightly off the beach kept the price more reasonable. Communication and instructions from Sweetgrass was great, and we'll definitely be coming back!

This unit was very clean and as advised! It was a super short walk to the beach which we appreciated. We really enjoyed our stay however the mattress needs to be switched out with a new one. I could tell it was cheap and well used. We won’t return due to that otherwise, everything else was perfect!

Great trip, beautiful area and excellent location for beach access. Some access pints are being renovated so insist on a map showing access points. Accommodations were very nice but kitchen supplies lacking. Would rent again, but would anticipate poorly stocked kitchen.

Very quiet location

This unit needs a bit of care and attention. The floors (tile, grout, carpet) need a deep cleaning. (Nasty.) There was only one stemmed wine glass…and we have never rented a beach property without any beach towels. There were also no blankets or throws in the unit. It was cool sitting on the porch. Would have loved a blanket! The bed was comfortable and the area was super quiet.

Overall the property was very nice and very convenient to the beach. I would, however, recommend that the owner consider having someone clean the grout in the bathroom and kitchen area as it was rather dirty looking. Also would suggest adding a measuring cup and more measuring spoons.
