We chose Kihei Holiday due to it's incredibly close location directly across the street from Sugar Beach.

The unit was finished being completely remodeled from top to bottom in September, 2021. Stainless steel appliances, air conditioning, quartz countertops, beach gear, and a 65" TV are some of the amenities you will enjoy during your stay.

This unit is steps to the beach, and has a pool for your enjoyment.

Aloha, First I want to say our visit was during a bad storm where roads were closed, power was lost (over 50 hours) to the complex, but not neighbors directly behind us or next to us, and we traveled with our 3 kids (10,9, and 4 years old). It was our anniversary, island hop/extended stay for doctors appointment, start to spring break. I have stayed in the area before so we knew what to expect but not when "camping style" was our only option. There were minimal things in the kitchen/closets (no matches, candles, flashlights, emergency kits (first aid or the like) and means to contact host was via email only (phone number didn't work) so no immediate response when floors were covered in water, ceilings and floors were leaking and our stuff was soaked. Host did respond within 15-20 min but calls/texts would have been easier. Some games, ball/toys, pool toys, reusable or disposable plasticware/paperware including tumblers for pool deck would have been ideal. The place was nice and its location was great but if we weren't used to the rain from island life this would have been one of the worst "vacation" experiences ever.

We absolutely loved our stay in Kihei. From the moment we arrived it just felt easy and comfortable. The place had everything we needed and was spotless and well looked after.Check in and check out were so simple, which makes a big difference when you are travelling with kids. We cooked a couple of nights and the kitchen had plenty of utensils and cookware, so it felt like a home away from home.The kids were in the pool every chance they got and it was definitely a highlight for them. For me, watching the sunset on the beach just across the road each evening was something really special. Such a beautiful way to end the day.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily come back again. Highly recommended.

The manager was great to work with and very accommodating also very quick to respond with we greatly appreciate. The location was great, close to the beach and close enough to other activities, dining and such without having to drive too far. Overall the property was good, a few things I would suggest to make a more enjoyable stay. More bath towels, an update to kitchen pans and cooking utensils, and more seating in the living room. We were a family of 5 and had to wash towels a few times during our stay and to sit down and chill wasn’t doable in the living room as there was only sitting for 3 people. The beach chairs, body boards, cooler were nice adds that we definitely value.

Good central location

Clean and good central location for the island. You do have to cross a street to get to the ocean that can get busy, but close and beautiful beach. The pool needs umbrellas, no shade but you have them in your rooms so we just took our own personal umbrellas to the pool. The trees and sitting areas around the property are great. We had a great time.

We stayed here for three days with our family! The place was absolutely perfect for us! The location cannot be beat, and the property was well stocked and updated and exactly as listed. We would love to stay here again!

Very disappointed

We wanted to love this place BUT we saw cockroaches multiple times a day in the bathroom and in the kid’s bedroom. We notified the property manager and asked if we could get a refund or if they could move us to a different property for our remaining days so that we could stay somewhere that doesn’t have cockroaches and they refused to help other than come and spray chemicals but we have an infant that crawls on the floor and didn’t feel comfortable with that. The property manager was not helpful in this situation and even said “ the people that just stayed in this unit didn’t mention anything about this” as if we were lying! We took pictures and sent them to VRBO and they tried to get our money back from the owner for the remaining days and they were unsuccessful in doing so. The owner just said we will come spray we don’t give refunds. Also, the beds didn’t have fitted sheets and most pillows didn’t have protective pillow covers on them and had stains which grossed me out. I would never stay here again or rent anything from Vaca Maui again.

Very clean and uodated

The unit is very well layed out and tastefully decorated. Had all the nessessary utensils and beach nessessaties . All rooms had fans for a quiet breeze over the AC units.
