For longer trips, renting a car is highly recommended—public transportation is limited, and driving allows you to explore attractions like Haleakalā National Park, Lahaina, and Upcountry Maui at your own pace. Free parking is available on-site, and local taxi and rideshare services like Uber and Lyft also operate in the area.
