We got into our room early. Check in was four but it was ready when we arrived at 2:30. Room was clean, except for a pillow case that was left under the nightstand near one of the beds. Bathroom was upgraded beautifully. We were facing the back of the hotel so it was quiet. The hotel was a quick drive from the waterfront but a very long walk. Room had a good sized fridge and a microwave. The coffee machine was great but we stayed two nights and it was not refilled for the second although I am sure if we had asked they would have.

It was a clean room very airy place. It was renovated but the walls are thin, I can hear people talking from the halls and the other room. Also kids running around. It should be a policy to avoid let kids runnig around.

The room was inconvenient. It felt like there was space left over after construction so a room was added but it wasn't well thought out. Example. Only one bedside table and the other side of the bed was so close to the wall that it left very little room. Breakfast was available for a cost, while at another hotel that family stayed in at a lower cost and a more convenient room setup included breakfast. Need less to stay that should we travel to Kingston again we will not book the Strata Hotel.

The only good things I can say is the bed was comfortable and the room had been refurbished. On checkin, staff didn’t let us know we could park around back, our keycard didn’t work on 2nd day to get into building from garage and had to walk around. Desk staff said we would have to wait until he checked the people waiting in (around 8) instead of asking them if they minded if he redid our keys. After waiting for awhile, I asked them. My wife checked out - she wasn’t asked if she wanted a copy of the receipt. I slipped twice in the tub when having a shower - nothing on the bottom for no skid. They advertise a bar or lounge. We thought we would enjoy a drink after about 6 hours on the road - not open.
