Room was spotless; all staff that we came into contact with were pleasant and welcoming; whether they worked at reception, house keeping, handy man, restaurant etc. the room is well equipped with comfortable king size bed, seating, hanging and drawer space for clothing, laundry basket and great shower water-pressure. The view from the restaurant beats any world class waterside with yachts bopping on the flat sea. All in all, it was a great four night stay and would go again!

This review is solely based on the room, amenities provided and correspondence with the host. The room was updated, clean, and comfortable. Leroy was helpful in picking us up from the airport, grabbing the temporary license and getting us situated with the rental car. The surrounding is VERY local and there were some instances where we received uncomfortable stares. It didn't seem like visitors were welcome at some locations, but there was never a point where we felt unsafe, just unwelcome. That being said, we encountered some friendly locals at Buccament Bay, where there is a nice little beach, a few vendors, and a delicious restaurant/beach bar. Recommend take the wild drive to dark falls waterfall, it was spectacular, taking the ferry to Bequia and hanging out around Princess Margaret beach where you'll find some local bars and restaurants--that island generally, felt a bit more "tourist friendly." Overall, we had quite the adventure!

The villa is delightful, set in peaceful surroundings amidst lots of greenery. We loved relaxing on the porch, enjoying the breeze in the mornings and the sounds of crickets and birds in the evening. Being inside was equally wonderful--the rooms are spacious and attractive, the A/C is very efficient, the living area offers comfortable seating and a large TV (plus thoughtful additions like a few games and a deck of cards), and the kitchen is well-stocked (we appreciated finding cooking oil, a HUGE array of spices, coffee, tea, aluminum foil, and more). Beds were comfortable with soft sheets and good pillows; showers worked great, and my husband liked the fluffy towels so much that we're going to buy some of the same brand when we get home! On top of everything, Kimani was a super attentive and responsive host. Well before our arrival, he provided helpful info about what to do on St. Vincent, and throughout our stay and beyond, he checked in to make sure all was well. His father also lives nearby and showed us around when we first arrived. You really do want a car if you stay here, though. Driving on the island IS intimidating, and you'll need to hire a guide for excursions like the volcano hike (strenuous but worth it!). However, a rental car is convenient for getting to beaches, restaurants, and the supermarket.

The arrival at the resort was already an experience with singing and drinks. The room was very spacious, clean and well equipped. ALL the staff was super friendly and helpful in all places. The restaurants were nice but very inconsistent. One day everything was great, the next day the buffet food was cold. The food in Butch’s was excellent but we didn’t like the atmosphere- felt like an airport lounge and very loud. For the hype we expected it to be more intimate. The food in Gatsu Gatsu was good but needs more explanation because the portions are very small and tgey should tell you to order multiple for a platter and a full meal. We definitely like Scrimshaw - great food, nice atmosphere and wonderful staff. A few minus : the small beach gets very crowded when cruise ships are in because it’s a public beach and then people stand in front if you and put towels and chairs in front if the Sandals loungers. We had a photo shoot for our anniversary and I was waiting 30 min ( and a second call) for an urgent missing hair dryer ( told them we had photo appointment) and then the free photoshoot was quite disappointing- at first he forgot his memory card and then he rushed through some different locations- not much Direction on doing some posing, no correction of hair, dress etc and at the end you are buying 10 pictures for 180 US$ , barely edited ( had to correct on my own) and half of them against the light and overexposed- not professional at all.
