Excellent

Spoke to the book in clerk, the check out clerk and was ignored by everyone else. Could hear the door slamming for 3 hours. Fire alarm went off in the middle of the night, not a staff member to be seen. No fire marshall, no checks, just guests milling around (some still at the bar)..
Beautiful hotel and lovely food, staff were friendly, (very annoying to find out the cost of our stay would have been £247 if booked direct with hotel but we were charged £305 through yourselves)
Beautiful hotel and excellent food.
When we arrived we were a bit apprehensive as there was a wedding at the hotel. However we did not hear any noise at all.
Will definitely return
Slightly panicked when we arrived and they couldn’t find the booking of the couple we travelled with but luckily they had a room available… receptionist was so lovely we couldn’t be mad. Bar area was fantastic .. big group of us and they let us moved all the furniture so we could all be together. Bed was unbelievably comfortable.. best I’ve slept in for a long time and the shower was fab so although the room not fancy we really loved our stay. Breakfast was beautiful .. plenty of choice even though I was fairly late arriving although only downside was the coffee which was awful. Would definitely recommend if you need a room in Kirkcaldy.

Liked: Cleanliness, room comfort
Disliked: Staff & service
Reception after a long day on the road made us feel as if we had no reservation, by the way she stated at the screen. We were told our room was down a corridor and turn left. Off we trekked and found ourselves in a passage with service and kitchens on either side. Eventually, we found our way through a firedoor a stairwell and then another firedoor to get to the passage where the room is. Signage is there, but not where it is actually needed - to make it clear that one has to go through the firedoors. Saturday was our 45th anniversary. I ordered ahead to have a demie bottle on ice in the room when we got back from the day. It wasn't there. Fortunately it hadn't been charged, but the disappointment was still there. It's not a big deal for a four star hotel to get that right. Tea and coffee station in the room: one teaspoon? Really? In a four-star establishment? Breakfast: no salt and pepper on the table. Shortage of teaspoons on the table. I'm not being picky. These are basics, people. Room service was fine. Breakfast was fine.
