Very friendly and helpful staff. We liked the location as it was close to Shin Kobe for the Shinkansen and hike to herb garden but also close to local train station to access harbourland and our regular train travel.

Location was great. Room was clean. Staff were pleasant. Only complaint - the bed. If people want to sleep on the floor, LET THEM. The bed was comparably hard and was not appreciated for a welcomed stay. (Perfect industry strategy to solve your overtourism issues.)

This hotel is affordable, and even though it is located conveniently right between both train stations in Kobe (Shin-Kobe and Sannomiya), it’s a good 15-minute walk from either, so consider that if you are hauling luggage across town (maybe take a taxi). The rooms are ridiculously small. We kept tripping over our luggage and each other, and the bathroom felt like an airplane bathroom. It’s probably fine if you’re traveling solo, but it’s definitely cramped and feels like an economy hotel. Nothing fancy, not that comfortable.

Would not stay again.

I was very disappointed in my stay. The front desk people were very nice but their limited English ability was a real problem. I ended up in taxis going to parts unknown. Even though they wrote directions in Japanese, it still wasn’t helpful. My room was so small that I could barely open my suitcase. There was only room for a small single bed. Also there was no restaurant or food facility . I was anxious to leave. I stayed 4 nights
