Ann’s home stay, Kumbalanghi is a Diamond catagory home stay situated in Kumbalanghi,12 kms from Kochi city center, the first eco-friendly tourist village in India. It is also known among the tourists for Chinese fishing nets and the occurrence of the natural phenomenon known as sea sparkle or bioluminescence in the backwaters at Kumbalanghi, which is locally known as Kavaru.The 2019 state award winning Malayalam language movie “Kumbalanghi Nights is set here.
The space
We are renting out the entire ground floor of our house having 3 AC bedrooms with king size beds ( 2 attached bathrooms + one common bathroom all having solar hot water facility) Two AC bedrooms with attached bathrooms are available for guests at first floor with seperate entrance. Ample parking space for upto 8-10 cars within the property. We do undertake events ( Max 100 persons) at our property. Two living rooms 300 and 250 sft respectively . One Ac Dormetory ( 6 beds) on 1st floor is available for stay. Dining area is quite spacious having 8 seater dining table. Kitchen is fully fledged with Gas stove, basic cooking utensils,Refrigerator, washing machine, Microwave, Bread toaster, Kettle, Ironing board with Iron box, Cold/Hot water dispenser etc.We do have Invertor back up in case of an unlikely event of power failure.We have 2 nos 65 inch smart TV for guest viewing and internet connectivity. The overwater facility ( second image) is 5 minutes walk from our place wherein guests can spend time relaxing.
Guest access
Guests have access to entire ground floor. The bedrooms are made ready according to no of guests. ( For eg- upto 2-4 guests two bedrooms, 5 -6 all 3 bedrooms, 7-10 guests all 4 bedrooms and 11 and above all 5 bedrooms. We have an AC dormitory at 1st floor which can accommodate 6 guests( 6 single coat) thus making the total guest accommodation to 19 nos.
Other things to note
We have 700 sft covered space outside, which is ideal for small events.
