Book Koya hotels

There aren't many hotels within a 10-kilometre radius of downtown Koya, so be sure to book your room early if you'd like to stay in a centrally located Koya hotel.

Koya can't lay claim to being the hotel capital of the world. It is, however, home to the Koyasan Syukubo Ekoin, which is located 3-kilometre from the city centre.

You could also check out the Sakoya -Yoshino- as well as the Amami Onsen Nanten-en. The Sakoya -Yoshino- is positioned 30 kilometres away from the main part of Koya. The Amami Onsen Nanten-en is located 20 kilometres away. Other alternatives in this area include the APA Hotel Kanku-Kishiwada and the Minamitei.

Once you have explored Koya, you should make time to soak up the wider region of the Kinki area. Visit the ruins in Kinki. Visitors should also make the time to enjoy its beaches, lakes and mountains. In this part of Japan, energetic types might also partake in mountain biking and hiking.

Osaka is 55 kilometres to the north of Koya and is where you'll find the Osaka Science Museum and Osaka Takoyaki Museum.
