The Hotel could hardly be closer to Wawelm Castle ( a major tourist attraction in Krakow) but is still quiet & cosy. This also means it’s on the edge of the old town, where most of the attractions are- easy walking to everywhere. The room was basic but had all the essentials - en suite, shower, Tea & Coffee facilities (although you’ll need to get your own milk) Continental Breakfast is included and is extensive - all you could want, especially the scrambled eggs. The best feature though is the SkyBar- on the 6th floor with great views of the castle and river and a decent menu of snacks and meals. The only glitch was that signal was very patchy on the only English Language TV Station I could find - but that’s hardly essential.

Really enjoyed our stay at Pod Welwelem. Located right by the castle and easy 15 minute walk to the main square. The rooftop bar has a lovely view over the river. Buffet breakfast was good. Staff are friendly and helpful. Taxis were plentiful. Parking available in underground carpark right outside.

Highly recommended staying here when visiting Krakow. Located next to the castle and river, but not amongst the touristy and busy areas. Quiet, safe and just out of the way of the main old town. Skybar provides amazing views and you get a complimentary glass of prosseco that you claim and enjoy in the skybar - a nice touch. Hotel itself is welcoming, modern and clean. Rooms are spacious and airy with everything you need. Breakfast is included and is a brilliant buffet with a large variety of polish cold foods, patisserie, cereals, yogurts breads and a small selection of hot food. Only a small fruit selection, but salad is also available. Coffee and tea also provided. Really great place, especially for the price.

Staff fantastic, very helpful and friendly. We were in room 111 which was right beside the lift so it quite noisy at times. We were in a double room but it is actually two single beds side by side and two single quilts. The beds were also a bit lumpy. Overall a good stay but beds need updated.

Post New Year escape.

Lovely hotel with helpful reception staff. Breakfast was creative but something for everyone. Location and view is very good with 10 minute walk to old town.

The hotel is in a lovely, convenient spot, only around 8 mins walk to the old town and is next to the river. Wawel Castle was right beside the hotel, which was so lovely light up at night and which could be viewed from the Sky Bar terrace. Some boats are restaurants and are covered in lights, which again looked lovely. I was given a warm welcome as soon as I arrived. The room was comfortable and quiet and all the staff were generally very helpful. The sachets of coffee were a little hit and miss in the room, which ranged from 0-2 sachets. Not a major problem as I could have asked for some. I was going to miss breakfast on one occasion and the hotel kindly made me a lovely packed lunch to take with me. I would like to have had more variety for breakfast, but there was choice and plenty of it. I would certain recommend this hotel for it's warm welcome and it's quiet convenient location
