Staff at the hotel were very friendly and accomodating. The facility is new and clean. The reason for taking 1 star off is because of the food. My stay included breakfast and I was looking forward to a continental style breakfast. However, the options are limited and I wish there was more variety on the menu to CC oose from. Taste wise, I have had better tasting breakfast elsewhere at a lower tier hotel. In summary, I think hotel can do more to revamp the breakfast menu and offer bigger portions/more variety of food.

We had a wonderful stay in two rooms for our family of 5. The rooms were spacious and stylish, and the breakfast was wonderful. We also loved the location - very close to Gion district and lots of delicious restaurants. Central to the various sites we wanted to see during ing our 5 day trip. Both the lunch and dinner were formal, but delicious!!!

The hotel was great, loved the location and all the snacks in the room. We didnt eat at the hotel but did go up to the bar once. The staff served us a drink and then ignored us, it was not busy. can't recommend the top floor dining space but otherwise liked the hotel.

Beautiful property. Staff were so helpful. Check in was the nicest check in experience I could ever imagine. Tea and snack while they confirmed out room was ready. I would highly recommend. The rooms were lovely. Robes and pjs werw fantastic. Fluffy pillows. The pink chest full of snacks was unexpected. Would stay here again

Absolutely awesome stay at Fauchon! The room was impeccable and every detail has been well thought out. The hotel is in a great location, walkable to many tourist sights, shopping and restaurants. Highly recommend and will stay here next time we are in Kyoto!
