Very good hotel

The room was nicely spacious compared to others and luckily had a laundry room on bottom floor, which was busy but did help when I needed to run a load due to weather soaking me. Location was great as it was already close to 2 attractions in Kyoto and near the station to get anywhere else and had a wonderful service to shuttle over to the bamboo forest which was much better than looping around on the subways. also about 2 doors down was a Kyoto Coop which had food and drinks i could pick up as i leave/came back from a long day. to note i am 6 foot 8 inches or 2meters and the bathroom and bed length were good enough for me which was a plus.

4 night stay as a family of 4 in a family room as part of 2 week Japan holiday. Hotel was clean, service was very good and conveniently located for transport and close to some decent breakfast and dinner options as well as a 711. we used the courtesy bus to Golden temple and bamboo forest which was a bonus

Hard as rock bed, steep stairs down on entryway made it very difficult going in and out (with suitcase), noisy people in nearby rooms. Would never stay there again. It was the most expensive hotel I stayed at during by trip back to Japan, but it was by far the worst
