This house is amazing for couple of friends or family. We stayed here 5 friends. Shimpei, the host, was extremely helpful and kind. He printed all the information about the house, Kyoto and the area in nicely organized folders! He even reserved a table for us when we couldn't communicate with a restaurant. Everything you need is in the house: laundry machine, coffee machine, automated cab request.. even a cell phone to make free calls in Japan! It's a beautiful house with a cute little backyard and tea room viewing the backyard. The location was also great: Saiin station is about 3mins away, Kyoto station is 20mins away. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Traditional Japanese Wooden house with new & modern renovations. The coffee prepared by owner make us feel in home. Relaxing music broadcasting. Big kitchen, good for family. Quiet community. 2 mins walking distance to restaurants and supermarkets. Close to Randen & JR Station

京都のホテル滞在に飽きたので、最近はずっとコンドミニアムタイプ、一棟貸タイプばかりを選んで宿泊していますが、ここは部屋の構造等は良かったのですが、シーツに髪の毛が落ちている、タオルが臭い、以前の宿泊者の食料が冷蔵庫に残されている、風呂場の排水口に髪の毛が沢山あり、以前の宿泊者の使いかけのボディタオルが残っている等、リネン等のメンテナンスがプロによるものではないため、家族皆がかなり不快な思いをしました。 残念ですが、二度と利用したくないです。
