Chalet Isla de Lux is set in the quiet village of Essert-Romand, just 5km from Morzine and the delightful village of Montriond. It's a great base for exploring the huge Portes du Soleil ski area in the winter, and in the summer you are surrounded by great walking and cycling trails. Lac Montriond, just 7km from the chalet, is a great family day out, with a swimming beach, play and picnic areas as well as restaurants and a lakeside path.

And after an active day in the mountains there's no better way to relax than in the sauna or the hot tub at Chalet Isla de Lux, or with a drink on the terrace.

We love the various communal areas at Chalet Isla de Lux – the comfortable main living room with a TV and fireplace, the games room with a pool table, sofa and small kitchen where older children can get together in the evenings, and the mezzanine area with a sofa where you can curl up with a book and a desk for those who want to work remotely. The kitchen is well equipped and the island unit means there's plenty of room to share the cooking.

There are plenty of places to relax outside too, with a wraparound balcony as well as a dining area and a separate seating area on the terrace, where you can soak up the sun or watch for shooting stars. In the summer, the property also offers 2 paddle boards, two football goals, badminton net and rackets.

The owner requires a €1,000 damage and excess cleaning guarantee. No funds are taken or blocked on your card. Your payment details are securely held for up to 14 days after departure. If no charge is required, they will be deleted.
