Beautiful resort, well maintained grounds, lot of various trees and flowers. We saw created guans, pizottes and iguanas and other birds. Big rooms which are air conditioned. Ours was with queen beds which are little further up the hill. They do have a free shuttle which is always available and takes only couple of minutes. Walking is 10 mins downhill and 15 mins uphill. Hotel has great free breakfast, with lot of options. They also organized various tours to the arenal and La Fortuna areas which is very convenient. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. There are variety of the thermal pools in the resort and are very relaxing with different temperatures. Our room had a great view of the volcano though it was mostly cloudy on the top There are two restaurants and both are good. We liked the bar restaurant as it has good vegetarian choices.

Beautiful resort and staff were all great. Did have to ask for a room on second floor as the mountain view on the main floor didn’t have the views of the volcano and staff were accommodating.

It was a nice place. The hot springs were enjoyable and having a wet bar and restaurant on site were a plus. I am a running so you can jog on property but no side walks on roads. We had no complaints other than we had an issue with lock on door but they fixed. Wish they had ice machine but the bar was accommodating. In short. We highly recommend

We had a pleasant stay at Los Lagos Hotel. The room was clean and nicely decorated, and the beds were comfortable. However, the beds are placed on cement slabs, and I accidentally hit myself a couple of times—something to be mindful of. The hot springs are definitely the highlight. There are so many pools, all with different styles and temperatures, that it literally took us two days to discover them all. It’s absolutely great for families of all ages. The buffet was particularly good, with lots of delicious options. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, and the birds that visit during meals are just amazing to watch. Unfortunately, it was cloudy during our entire 3-day stay, so we never got to see the Arenal Volcano. The rooms are spread throughout the property, so you need to use the shuttle to get to the main areas (boutique, restaurant, and pools). One of the older drivers was excellent—very polite, friendly, kind, and drove carefully, with quick service. However, the younger driver at night was disappointing: he drove too fast on narrow roads, took unnecessary detours, and we had to wait over 30 minutes each time we called for the shuttle. Overall, a beautiful property with fantastic hot springs and food, though shuttle service consistency could be improved.

The resort is very nice and I have visited many times. This visit however, I ran into difficulties at checkin. The resort has some very small rooms with only one bed, I was not aware of this as these tiny rooms are not available to book on US websites such as Hotels.com. Upon arrival they tried to downgrade my booking several times even though I had clearly shown the front desk what I had booked through this website...took over an hour to resolve successfully

This is a beautiful location. What a view!! Lots of walking (hard if you have mobility issues), a nice path at the front of the property. The pools are fantastic. Lots of parking. The room was huge and the beds very comfortable. Will definitely be back.
