It’s not clear on the property description the hours of access(11-10) to the springs or the fact that they let quite a few public visitors in every day - it gets crowded! It would be nice when paying almost $300 a night to at least get access to the springs without public present or to be able to go at night. There is one pool (which is neglected) for guests only, but it was cold and dirty. The campus is large so prepare to all everywhere. The bed was comfortable and for that I am grateful.

Great to stay at such a beautiful place with its own series of hot thermal pools. Rooms were well appointed. Wonderful to spend time in the car area with an awesome view of the volcano. Be aware that at times the pool areas could be busy with day use visitors but there is still plenty of spots to hang out. Very nice daily breakfast.

You won't regret staying here!

We loved this place! The grounds were stunningly beautiful with mature plants everywhere, rooms were lovely and comfortable, the bed was super comfy, and the bathroom was big with natural light. We got a wonderful couples massage and the food was really fresh and delicious. Staff all spoke good English and were friendly and helpful. We especially loved the coffee shop that overlooked the volcano.

Highly recommended!

We had an amazing stay at paradise thermal hot springs resort! The facilities were impeccable and the staff were super friendly and attentive. We got to experience beautiful views of the volcano every morning while sipping local coffee from our balcony. The included buffet styled breakfast was delicious, with a wide variety of fruits, local foods, and pastries. The thermal pools were incredibly beautiful with tropical plants surrounding everything. There was even a private thermal infinity pool just for guests that overlooked a beautiful field leading up to the volcano. We definitely recommend staying here when you visit La Fortuna. PS: if we book through a third party site, my husband and I always call the hotel ahead to confirm our reservation. So far, we have never had issues, but I say this because we did witness one couple who were very upset due to complications with their booking. Although I don’t know the specifics of their situation, I did notice that the staff were very professional and courteous towards them. Pura Vida!

If you have an early departure flight, do not book this resort. They lock the entrance and exit gates at night with a key and there is no attendant to assist. You can try calling, but no one will answer the phone. There’s no way to get out. I told them during the check-in process that we had an early flight and would be leaving early on our departure date. It’s scary to know that there is no staff available at all on the property at night and they lock everyone and their vehicles inside the property. If there’s a fire or you have a medical emergency (or volcano eruption), just know that you will be stuck without a way to exit the property in your vehicle. Eventually, after several attempts to call the front deska and knocking on the doors & windows, some sleepy looking kid came out and unlocked the gate, but we were already running 30 minutes behind schedule at that point. As we were pulling out of the gate, we noticed our rental had a flat tire, which it did not have when we parked it there the night before. Did the employee offer to assist us? Of course not. In fact, he immediately locked the gate back up and disappeared. My husband put the spare tire on and we were finally able to get on the road but we ended up missing our flight.

Beautiful hotel with clean, beautiful hot springs. They're all natural, emptied and cleaned regularly and refilled with natural water. The staff were great too. The poolside bar is fun & food delicious.

This is our second year in a row coming to Paradise Hot Springs resort and we will be coming back! It is a hidden gem, with beautiful spacious and clean rooms, amazing clean hot pools, beautiful grounds and views of the Arenal Volcano, and little bonuses like the Finca Cafe and the new infinity pool overlooking the volcano! Staff is amazing and helpful for anything you need for your stay in the La Fortuna area. Great breakfast cafe included, and the restaurant is very good and has live music several nights each week. Love this place!
