Fabulous accommodations and jungle walk is steps a

This is a fabulous facility with an amazing location and view from the villas. Staff was incredibly helpful The location is directly across from mystic so the jungle walk should be part of your adventure.

Absolutely beautiful view from bed and balcony! We stayed in cabin 11, room and bathroom was spacious, bed was comfortable. Would recommend this for the unique non-hotel experience.

Wonderful lodge at the Arenal

We had a wonderful stay at the Sangregado. Francisco and Luis were both taking turns at the reception and were incredibly nice, attentive, and expedient with their responses. They made sure we were well cared for, whether it was reservations or an issue with an equipment in the room. They are great advertisements for Sangregado. The remainder of the staff as well were wonderful. The included breakfast buffet at the Blue Hibiscus (at the Lost Iguana down the road) was delicious and all staff there were also wonderful. Sangregado was an oasis, away from the crowds, nestled in the forests looking towards Arenal. We will certainly return here in the future.

The property was beautiful. We stayed in the Family unit, which has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, plus a living area and full kitchen. Lots of space for our older kids (24 & 16). Coatis and wild pigs were regular visitors, and the location was super convenient to Mistico. Breakfast was at another property, which was a very short drive down the hill. Easy to get to and the staff there were also very friendly. The main downside for the unit was that the dryer wasn't working, but the staff were helpful in drying it for us when we took it up to the desk.

Francisco was so super friendly and helpful! He booked us for Mistico and offered to book other excursions. He was able to provide recommendations for food and excursions. He walked our bags to the room upon our arrival, after cutting open fresh coconuts for us to drink. We enjoyed our stay!

Hidden Gem

The worst part of the stay was finding the lodge. Our GPS kept going out and there NO signage, not even one sign which I feel is inexcusable. It added on an extra hour and a half to our arrival to the lodge in addition to the frustration factor. But once there, the stay was wonderful. Staff were very helpful-they helped book different activities and book restaurant reservations. The location on the edge of the rainforest was great. The only downside was availability of restaurants-a 30 min drive to the majority of them. That’s the trade off for the location in the forest.

Great villa for extended stays. We only stayed a night so didn't get to take advantage of the kitchen and living area as much. Internet was spotty and had some issues with they dryer but overall nice place and it was a reasonable rate. Perfect location if going to the Mystic hanging bridges. The breakfast was a different location and required a shuttle but it was good.

We stayed in Villa #1 which is a 2 bedroom suite. It is perfect. The weather was not so great for the two days we stayed, but we still enjoyed the place very well because of the beauty of the villa and the surroundings. We saw a lot of birds, a big family of peccaries, and two coatis. We went to Mistico park early in the morning before the tourist traffic picked up. It was so peaceful. I highly recommend the horse riding tour as well which is right by the park. The location of the lodge makes it so convenient to enjoy the best out of the mountain.

The rooms are just like the picture. We stayed in Villa 11 for the first night then moved to Villa 13 due to 11 not being available for all the nights we were staying there. We preferred Villa 11 because it had a table and chairs on the deck outside along with a chair swing. The views (when it wasn't cloudy) were stunning. The sounds of the rainforest were amazing - especially in the bathroom where there is a screen and you can hear the outside without having a window/door open. The room was very clean (an occasional bug but we didn't mind, it is the rainforest). Easy to drive to - we didn't have a 4x4 and were fine. The breakfast at the lodge down the road was very good and the property is beautiful. The Mistico hanging bridges park is just a walk across the street and definitely recommend. We also booked an excursion thru the lodge with La Roca which is also just 10 minutes away (they pick you up at that the lodge - the road to their location is best with a 4x4). It is about 25 minutes from town center. If you are looking for quiet but with restaurants and excursions nearby, I would recommend this place.

Loved my stay at Sangregado Lodge. I booked it for the view of the Arenal Volcano from the room and it did not disappoint. It was stunning. The room was clean, modern and it felt like you were in the rainforest. It rained quite a bit but it’s part of the experience when you’re near the rainforests but when it cleared up, you can easily see the volcano. Free breakfast was included, which was not onsite, it was actually at Lost Iguana resort, a very short drive - food was very good and the vegetation surrounding the restaurant was beautiful, saw so many species of birds, and other wildlife. We went back for dinner once, food was delicious but can be pricey. We decided to use the free transportation to get over there and back. The lodge is right across from Mistico Park Hanging Bridges so if you plan to go, it’s literally right there. A lot of nice hikes in the area, all within driving distance. We decided to hike Arenal 1968. The lodge offered free coffee/tea and also had a filtered water station at the reception area so you can refill your water bottle which was a bonus given food/water was expensive in the area. Highly recommend this stay if you want to wake up and be surrounded by nature. Staff was super friendly. Francisco was an absolute gem, really enjoyed his hospitality - just a great guy overall.

Fantastic spot

The location of Sangregado was fantastic! Located right across from Mistico, but so intimate. Our casita had incredible views of Arenal Volcano. We had a wonderful stay from start to finish.

The view and the experience were spectacular!! We were literally in the jungle! Birds, monkeys, wonderful Thunderstorms and beautiful sounds all around you!! The staff was very friendly and accommodating! I would highly recommend Sandriago to anyone and everyone!!
