Hotel Catedrál embodied a minimalist vibe that was soothing to us travelers in need of a vacation from the daily work & school grind The moment we entered the hotel premises, we sensed a feeling of cleanliness, simplicity, relaxation, and true Peace - La Paz! Our check-in process was smooth and easy. The staff Cesar & Jose greeted us with warm smiles and were very thorough, professional, and accommodating. Upon opening the hotel room, we immediately smiled as we smelled the scent of a fresh, clean room, together with a minimalist design, and all the simple amenities we needed for the week. We loved the giant rainwater showerhead that hung from the walk-in shower ceiling! Shower water was warm within seconds, and towels were abundantly supplied as needed. The room was quiet when it was time to rest, and it was spacious for three people. The rooftop patio, along with the infinity pool bar were the PERFECT place to hang out anytime of the day! Beautiful panoramic view of the surrounding area with La Catedrál Church across the street! Close to many stores & restaurants! We walked all over town and enjoyed the Carnaval that was going on at the Malecón all weekend (mid-Feb). Oh, and the BEST meals that we had each day were at the hotel buffet downstairs! The restaurant staff were attentive, attractive, amazing people who made the dining experience lovely! We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to La Paz!!! We ABSOLUTELY recommend La Catedrál!

I found that there were some water bottles in the cleaning cart, containing liquid soap, chlorine and cleaning liquids, which in my concept is dangerous because could be drank by children.

Service was excellent. Cost was great. Free parking. Great buffet breakfast and excellent rooftop bar. Nice bathroom and shower. No tub for those who care but that is not an issue for me. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Very accessible to beach and Malecón. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Wonderful centrally located. Museums, delicious restaurants and waterfront all within 5-10 minute walk. Hotel is constantly being cleaned, rooms are quiet coffee is hot and tasty, food selection is perfect, rooftop pool is warm and bar service/ lounge area is ideal. I want to return!!!

Probably the best value in La Paz

Perfect location half block from the main square a 5 minutes walk to everything in downtown La Paz. Perfect place to explore the real La Paz, its restaurants, coffee shops, galleries, shopping, etc. 4 blocks from the Malecon. The place is clean, offers free breakfast buffet which is very acceptable and somewhat varies each day. The beds a a bit on the stiff side and very tall pillows. Very clean bathrooms and bedrooms. Service is very friendly. Overall extremely good value for your money.

Hotel Catedral is the place to stay! The staff is kind, the hotel is clean, the breakfast buffet is delicious! I’ve been coming here just about every year since pre-COVID. The location is walking distance from the boardwalk and Balandra and Tecolote beach is a short 20-30 minute drive. I can’t recommend this place enough.
