LAST MINUTE SPRING CANCELLATION-Cozy Desert Oasis-Private Pool/HotTub /FireTable

Permit 000324. Our beautiful, Spanish-style villa is was built in 2005 and is located in the small gated community of Puerta Azul, in South La Quinta adjacent to PGA West. It is a 15 minute bike ride to Coachella Festival. Our home has 12' ceilings and is all on one level and features three bedrooms- two with king beds , and one with a queen bed and gas fireplace. There is master and guest bathroom and all bedrooms and common area have ceiling fans .

The private gated yard features a private pool and spa, a built in gas BBQ grill, , outdoor table with 6 chairs with fan above table , love seat and four chairs with gas fire table , and three chaise lounges. It has western exposure and has views of the mountains.

The home is air conditioned and has fantastic light from the numerous west facing windows. The kitchen is modern with granite tile and stainless appliances and features an island with seating for light meals or hanging out. There are fans in all three bedrooms, family room and outside eating area above the table.

The master bathroom features dual vanities, private toilet, tub and frameless glass shower. The second bathroom has a walk in glass shower, single vanity and toilet.

There are flat screen TVs in the family room and 2 bedrooms plus private den. The family room and master bedroom televisions are the only Televisions that are connected to cable.

Our house also has a private one car garage for your use and a washer and dryer for those longer stays!

Puerta Azul is a resort like community and has two large hotel like community pools & spas (one only one house away and the other only a 4 minute walk from our house!). Puerta Azul features a fitness center, tennis & bocce ball courts, clubhouse, with a walking trail (paseo) running through the center of the resort. The resort setting features spectacular mountain views and a convenient location to the golf at PGA West (right next to Puerta Azul) and the restaurants in Old Town La Quinta.

The home was a great size and we loved having the pool/hot tub in the back yard. The neighborhood provided easy walking within and outside the gates. We didn't use the other amenities (pools/clubhouse), but they were close and well maintained. Communication with the owner was excellent. Loved the indoor fireplace and outside firepit on cooler evenings. The views of the mountains were great. Loved being close to LaQuinta especially for the Sunday farmers market.

5 stars all around for this place, especially the host Diane, we were a bit for our check in time so we didn’t really enjoy our first day like we had plan to, but without asking Diane offered us a later check out time so we can at least enjoy the day and honestly that made our experience so much more better! On top of that any questions we had or concerns she replied within minutes which just made things so much more smooth. Her home is beautiful and very well equipped with whatever you need and the swimming pool/hottub is private with a very nice view of the mountains, all in all she made my birthday very well worth it for our stay

Great Getaway!

Wonderfully outfitted!

This was a nice property, reflected everything that was in the listing correctly. What we really noticed was that the home was very well outfitted. There were plenty of beach towels for the pool, lots of dinner ware, both indoor and outdoor. And the best part, lots of spices and basic cooking items, like vinegar and oils. We've been renting through VRBO for 10 years and this is the first location that was well outfitted.

Relaxing stay with a pool

Spent most of the time relaxing in the backyard and taking morning walks in the neighborhood. Listing photos are accurate. Appreciated greatly that the pool maintenance came twice a week since wind conditions can dirty the pool with green debris. One small complaint is that the main TV is cable but not set up to use our streaming services.

An oasis in the desert heat

Temperatures ranged between 40-46 deg C (104-115 deg F) during our stay, which was highly unusual for this time of year. This spacious, cool and comfortable house with its lovely pool and outdoor area was a pleasure to come home to.

An Enjoyable Experience

This was the 1st time renting a house and it was a very pleasant experience. Towels, blankets, dishes, pot/pans, even books and magazines were available. The pool was just the right size (for the three of us) and the house was clean. The outside was quiet (we only heard the neighbors outside twice), and it was nice not to hear the sounds of planes, helicopters, loud cars racing up and down the street, etc. The only complaint we had was we would prefer the sofas had taller backs to them, but we consider that a minor issue. Overall, we had a pleasant stay.
