Probably will not come back. The cottage was extremely outdated which is fine because I knew that when I booked it. What I did not expect was the musty, gross smell that the whole cottage had. My husband and I literally had to go out to the store to get some air freshener it was so bad. The staff wasn’t as friendly as I thought they’d be for such a popular lake of the ozarks spot but maybe they were just having an off day. Our sausage pizza from the blue cat was good and the pools were nice so at least there is that!

As I stated in my review earlier. We had to make several complaints about the noise coming from the upstairs unit. The room had what looked like black mold on the ceiling and in one of the bathrooms. It also had an odor. None of the outlets in the bedrooms worked. We could not get Wi-Fi. The parking was too tight. The furniture was outdated. It was the worst hotel experience that I have ever had in my lifetime.

It was an amazing!! Loved being right by the lake and being able to go he next to a restaurant and bar. Also the pool was nice and live music at night. Would definitely come back- was a very comfy stay!

Different from what we expected

We booked late as we were not sure where we wanted to spend the night. There was one room left, which included 2 double beds. We prefer one king, but decided we could make do for one night. I guess the second double bed was a pull out sofa bed. Not appealing and it would have left us with no space at all to move around. That should have been in the description. On the plus side, the room was very clean and though a little tight, we are small people, so we made it work. The food at the Blue Cat Lounge was excellent!

Unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing. 😞 If it hadn’t been for two things—1) celebrating a family member’s 25th wedding anniversary at the Blue Cat Lounge (which, to be fair, was fantastic), and 2) our late check-in around 10 p.m. on Friday—we likely would have left and found alternative accommodations. The stay fell well below our expectations. There was hair in the towels, the furnishings were outdated and mismatched—reminiscent of the 1980s—and overall, the space felt uncomfortable and overpriced.

Room we received upon arrival looked nothing like what was represented on booking. The staff took care of us and were very understanding. The alternate room was very spacious but older accommodations. Nice pool. The staff were the highlight of the trip overall. They reported they are still working on some updates to some Of the units.
