The check in process was easy and staff friendly. We booked a lake view room. The room was nice, clean and comfortable. We like the microwave and fridge. The beds were comfortable and they gave us lots of pillows. The view was nice but the main road was loud and that’s a big part of your view. The AC didn’t work that great and it was very loud. My husband set the temp to 68 and it never got below 70. When the system kicked on it sounded like a wash machine on spin cycle. The hot tub was nice and big. We had it all to ourselves. One of the frustrating things was every time we entered or exited the building there were employees smoking at the entrance.

The property is older but has been very well maintained. The room was impeccably clean, no smells or odors, everything was nice and not worn or sketchy. The place in incredibly quiet!! We barely heard any indication that there was anyone else staying there. The mattress was firm but comfortable. No complaints about the room. The down side, maybe, was the area surrounding the buildings was....old. Could use a little TLC. The "lake view" is quite limited but there is a lovely park less than 5 min away with great views and several beaches not too far away. No on-site dining but they do offer a 15% off coupon to one of two restaurants just two minutes away. Overall, very happy with our stay.

This place was the perfect location! It is right across the street from the lake so the view is amazing. There are excellent restaurants and wine bars on every corner and everything is walkable including Safeway & Starbucks which is only 2 blocks away. We were about 2 miles from stateline but honestly I liked our location a 1000x's more than any of the hotels/motels that were closer to casinos and Heavenly! I haven't been to Tahoe in years but this was such a perfect trip that I am already planning our next trip to Tahoe and yes we will be staying at this hotel.

Property is directly across the road from the lake but rooms were outdated, our air conditioning in the room would go no lower 72 degrees even when we set it to 65. Room was 76 degrees when we arrived. Building needs updating near the road, carpet, venting, and overall interior. Expected a lot more for the price we paid, disappointing.

Nice view albeit a little close to the freeway

We stayed at Hotel Azure for a second time and we had a nice experience. I did not love that our room was so close to the highway - lots of noise - but the lake view was amazing. We were right next to a newer restaurant, Element, that has live music that was loud enough that we didn't need to play our own music - I guess this could be good or bad. We didn't mind it, though. Thankfully the sliding glass door and black out curtains really minimized the highway noise. We will go back but I would definitely request a room further back on the property.

I didn’t realize that this was a 3 star property, but I was not too concerned because of its prime location. However, the staff were not the most warm. When calling the front office, it felt that we were bothering them when asking for additional towels and pillows. At one point, the front desk asked why did we need more? I traveled with my 1 year old and pregnant wife, do I really need to have a reason? All in all it was fine, just a weird vibe. I doubt I’ll return.

This is my second time staying at Hotel Azure and I had the best time! Their rooms are modern. Each room has a private balcony or patio. They have great amenities (pool & 2 jacuzzies) and the lake is literally across the street. I paid extra for a room with a lakeview. Although Hotel Azure is on the main strip, realistically it is not a walkable distance to the main shopping centers.
