We had two queen bed lake front room. The room was ok and very clean but was across the street from the lake with a four lane very busy, noisy main car/truck route, so noisy we could not open the balcony door. We paid almost $700 for 2 nights and feel misled. The east side of the building had a large garbage container, lid open at night with restaurant waste and other garbage that was nasty to see and smell. We would not stay there again or recommend, they have some work to do and perhaps calling it a motel would be more suitable.

The hotel was in a good area. Walking distance to 2 beaches. And right across the road, there was direct access (via stairs) to the lake. Walking distance to several restaurants including the Idle Hour (a wine tasting place with the best charcuterie board) and Heidi’s Pancake House. The pool/ hot tub area was very nice. No complaints!

The hotel was o.k. Overall a great location. Didn’t interact much with staff but they were cordial upon checking in. Didn’t love room because it was located above the dumpster. Request a lake view.

We love the location of this property and the rooms are large and comfortable with balconies. This visit, however, we were offered 20% off food (once) and the hotel only recognized 15% discount at their restaurants but offered it multiple times. They said it was Expedia's issue! Also, the fridge we had had no shelves and our attempts to get a shelf proved futile.

I paid the price of a five star hotel for a mediocre hotel stay. The walls are too thin and I could hear the next door guests clearly. I could not sleep due to that and traffic noise. The air conditioning was noisy too. Vending machines were not working and weren’t stocked at all. The location is good since it’s across the lake but i had selected a lake view room and got a partial lake view. I Felt robbed after paying $300+ per night for such a mediocre hotel

I liked the location. There was a series of side walks to reach our vehicle due to a wrought iron fence and the fence had no gates. The room was very small & dark. When registering we were told we would have a view of the lake. We had a view of the parking lot. There was a desk chair, but no other chair, so one of us had to sit on the bed.

Love that it’s dog friendly. Had a big room overlooking the pool. Plenty of dog friendly places at Stateline and she was allowed inside Wolf restaurant. Great Tahoe trip.

Love the central location of this hotel in South Lake Tahoe. Large room and very comfortable king bed. “Lake view” is partial given some obstructing trees along with partial sunset views. Two separate sinks very convenient for getting ready in the morning. Short easy walks to multiple restaurants and grocery store. Friendly, responsive staff. Smooth check-in. Ice machine only on ground floor. A/C is slow to cool - must set to a very low temperature to have cooler air blowing. We stayed mid-July 225 and it was warm (up to 87F). Nice-looking pool and spa but pretty small. We did not use either during our stay. Prepare to pay more for restaurant food and gas here in general. Some road noise despite recessed location.

Nothing about this hotel matched the description other than the name. It is a glorified motel at best. It is not a boutique hotel and does not match the photos as advertised. It is WAY overpriced. The rooms are dingy. The staff is not helpful. The location is great right across from the lake (but also very noisy right on the busy Lake Tahoe Blvd). All in all, you'd be much better off staying in a true motel and paying motel prices.
