Pleasant surprise with the Godley

The Godley Hotel is perfectly located in Tekapo!! NOTE: There is no elevator, so be prepared to lug suitcases upstairs!! The Jack Rabbit restaurant that is attached is perfect for breakfast. We went to T.L.V. for dinner, which was a nice upscale restaurant in the area and the dishes were excellent. Definitely plan on taking the time to walk around the lake to see the church and the cute shops.

Really loved our Superior room. Even though it was a bit stuffy when we checked in, we opened the outside doors for a few minutes to cool it down and then used the fan that was supplied. It made for a comfortable night. We also loved how close it was to eateries and shops. Would happily stay there again when next in the area.
