We returned home for a family wedding. The house easily slept six people. The refurbished house has hardwood floors and spacious, comfortable bedrooms. Kitchen is large and has all accessories that are need for a full meal prep. Dining room is large as is the living room. The house retains some throwbacks to its vintage history, but do not compete or interfere with the modern updates. Our grandsons enjoyed the game area in the basement with a pool table, card/game table with games, and dart board. It was too cold for us to be outside, but a porch to block the afternoon summer sun awaits our next visit. The owners allowed us to park our medium size truck and large SUV in the garage with room to spare. The house is off a main street, but far enough to avoid most road noise. There is easy access to fast food as well as a major grocery store. A shopping area with major retailers and restaurants is not far away, but give yourself a few extra minutes to get there. The city’s historic district, anchored by the Sherman House and a town square along with some nice local restaurants, is a few miles away as well as Rising Park and Mt. Pleasant – the crown jewels. In reasonable drives, there is access to Alley Park, Hocking Hills, and other outdoor locations, as well as other small towns with their own charms and local restaurants. The owners communicated quickly and were helpful. It’s a place we will stay again.
