Potential To Be Great Again

We stay here most times, when in the city. Check in/out was very easy and they were friendly. Rooms are usually good as well. It seems quality has gone down a bit, unfortunately Our room still had splashes from something, all over the one wall, and mirrors were dirty. Our breakfast Saturday morning, was awful. Did the buffet, knowing it wouldn't be like their Sunday one, but for the price, was very lacking, and we heard multiple other tables complain as well. We stopped by the little coffe shop and grabbed something. I've never seen someone so rude, it was honestly comical. The woman was angry the whole time, even when we tried being polite, and friendly. She threw the drink together, slapped a lid on, the drink leaked everywhere, and basically tossed it at us, to the point where we had to catch it, or it would have fell on the ground. This is our usual spot, but reconsidering future stays, due to this weekends happenings. Hopefully our next stay can get get is back to normal.

I’m not very picky, please bare that in mind. I don’t know if this is a post pandemic thing, or a lack of staffing thing. But we learned the hotel is only doing maid service every three days now. Even if you put the maid service sign up. This was disappointing as I had been unexpectedly sick during our stay and had the rubbage bin full with my tissues as a result. We put the maid service sign up primarily for this reason while we were out for the day. We also wanted fresh towels and more coffee as you are only given one days worth. We came back in early evening and it was evident there had been no maid service. We had to call down to the desk and ask and this is where we were told they only do every three days now. To their credit someone came up with towels and took the rubbage. Otherwise our stay was as expected. I always enjoy the gardens and the lounge atmosphere.

Despite terrible road conditions they would not cancel my reservation despite talking to a manager. My last visit the pool was closed with no notice. I will never book here again.
