Clean hotel and very friendly staff. The food was varied and good enough, considering the decent value of the hotel. Entertainment was slightly repetitive on a day-to-day basis but did the job. Hotel is very well located relative to the beach and the main Protaras strip of shops and restaurants. Free use of tennis rackets and balls for the court which is easily accessible. Gym is small and has missing weights as other reviews state, but it’s clean, well air-conditioned, and has what you need for a small workout while away.

The location was brilliant, it is right by the beach and the strip so cannot complain about that at all. The rooms are modern but could do with a bit of fresh paint. The food is what really let down the hotel. I wasn’t expecting gourmet meals but this was one of the worst hotel breakfasts I have ever had, and I’ve had a lot. The dinner also wasn’t great - if I was there for more than a couple of nights I wouldn’t have eaten here after two nights. Also their luggage storage bit isn’t actually luggage storage room, you just put your bags by reception.

Good basic hotel

Hotel was basic, clean and comfortable. Room was tired in places. But pool area made up for it. Drinks were good. Buffet was basic and we didn’t really eat there much. Would I go back? Absolutely for the price paid. Its location was excellent!!

Beware. After we discovered the hotel Tsokkos Beach , was closed arriving at the gates. We were shocked that our hotel we had booked and paid for, was shut. We knew nothing about this !! It’s still live on Hotels.com for bookings ! It’s been closed for weeks. We only found this out in a local taverna. So be careful don’t book that one. We were lucky tho because the hotel Constantinos The Great was the same company as our closed hotel. We only found this out at the local restaurant. So we went to Constantinos The Great reception to ask if we could stay there . Yes we could. It was lovely. We got to stay….. For an extra 90 euros !! A right nice Cypriot gentleman called Andreas was really sorry about everything, but promised us everything would be sorted the next day. Remember we had paid in full for their closed hotel. So the first evening in Protaras was a bit disappointing. Next morning. Wow how things changed. Got our 90 Euros back and Constantinos The Great was fantastic. Best hotel ever. The hotels location and staff were amazing. Facilities were just as nice 👌 . Girl called Adele at the Spa and indoor pool area was extra helpful, giving us loads of tips around our new hotel and Protaras in general. Breakfast at Constantinos The Great was lovely too. Lots of choice and selection . Staff are in here were good too. Nothing was any hassle. So definitely go ahead and book Constantions The Great Hotel it’s superb . Just sort out booking system at the Tsokkos Beach

Protaras Beach not 4 star!

Hotel very dated room not as pictures advertised. Food was awful, drinks even worse. AI was a waste of money. Very grubby hotel and definitely not a 4 star. Stayed many years ago and shocked to see how bad it has become.
