I did not expect to wait in a 45 minute line to check-in. Hopefully Rio is working on hiring more people, becaise having only 4 representatives working at peak check-in time on a Friday afternoon is kinda ridiculous. We also did not have a fully (properly) functioning TV in the room. The guide wouldn't work so we called the front desk to report it; someone came up after about 15 minutes and said we would have to call the front desk in the morning because it wasn't programmed properly upon check-in. The guests should not have to deal with that. He should have reported it, or something? Other than that, we had a great stay! Enjoyed the dining and entertainment options, and selection of slot machines. Would stay again.

The rooms smelt like smoke even though it was supposed too be a non smoking floor. The casino smelt heavly if smoke also. The first night of our stay i requested a roll out bed and had to go down twice to the front desk. Every time i called housekeeping or the front desk no one answered. I finally was able to get one the next day. I never once even saw housekeeping on our floor either. Was disappointed as it said the room's were renovation and it didn't look like it.

I wasn't expecting the hotel to reek of smoke. The room didn't but I hated walking around the hotel and smelling smoke all the time. The water went out for a bit and when it came back on it was only cold for a few hours. We tried calling the front desk multiple times and no one answered. The resort fee of $60/day is outrageous. I did really enjoy the gym though; it was the best hotel gym I have ever used.

Rio is across the freeway and railroad tracks from Las Vegas Blvd. It’s a 20 minute walk or a taxi ride to get to the “main attractions.” It is short on commerce and dining options. It’s clean, but the casino area smells of smoke. All things considered, the rooms are comfortable and parking is free. No in-room coffee, presumably for the sake of Starbucks in the lobby. Not bad, just not very highly recommended.

The fact that you don’t charge for valet parking and the self parking accessibility. Very convenient location away from the strip. For the price I think we got what we paid for. Shower head was leaking water room 383. It was difficult to reach someone on our second day of the stay as the room was not cleaned and we needed towels and toilet paper. Receptionist at check in and check out was not warm friendly or welcoming. Same employee. Thank you.

Horrendous Stay

What a terrible experience. We requested housekeeping three times while we were there. Nothing! We ran out of toilet paper and Kleenex. We called to ask for some….no one answered the phone. Had to go downstairs to hotel registration to ask. They said they’d send someone up. Someone came 3 hours later with towels. Our sink wasn’t draining. We requested it be fixed the first day we were there. On the third night AT MIDNIGHT they came knocking to fix our sink. Dirty carpet. Sheets are rough. I will NEVER stay here again!

Everything was fine. The dealers and staff on the gambling floor were all amazing. The hotel staff was also nice. You only thing that kind of sucked is it said all rooms have been completely redone and it didn’t seem like the masquerade side was redone but all in all I’d go back for sure

The Rio's new and improved renovations quite literally dropped my jaw with how clean, well maintained and quick as well as very accommodating the service was as well as all the staff was! Definitely would recommend to anyone and everyone looking to visit Vegas!
