My friends and I have just finished our stay at the gîte. We can only commend Benjamin, the caretaker, for his responsiveness and energy in trying to improve our holiday conditions, by replacing the very worn pans and wooden spoons, and by checking the roof due to two water leaks which, according to him, have been under repair for a year. The standard of the accommodation clearly does not correspond to the price or the photos, which are quite flattering from the outside. Contrary to what is indicated on the website, there is no internet connection or Wi-Fi, which is a problem when you need to do a video conference or work remotely. The electrical installation is faulty, and when you turn on the oven or a kettle, the light dims or goes out in the kitchen/dining room. The dishwasher is full of limescale and is not suitable for 16 people, just like the living room, which only has one sofa. The description suggests there are two bunk beds in one of the bedrooms, and we were hoping to sleep six children together, but there are only four beds. Two children had to sleep on the floor with their parents. The finishing touches are disappointing (tile grout, cupboard doors, door and window frames, toilet at an unreasonable height, lack of towel hooks in the only bathroom upstairs for 10 people). When contacted, the owner refused to acknowledge any of the problems. We certainly won't be returning and advise you against the experience, even if the exterior is attractive.

Lovely hotel in Grignan! We really enjoyed our stay - the rooms were very comfortable, the hotel garden and setting was beautiful and well maintained. We enjoyed breakfast and local recommendations from the hotel manager were fantastic. Merci!

I don’t usually write reviews but I loved everything about this place. From the individually styled rooms to the chair carved out of the stump of an old sycamore tree at the top of a flight of metal steps. Everything has been put together with such thought and care.

This is a comfortable house with a lovely view. The house itself is big with new and spacious kitchen and bathroom. The beds are pretty comfortable as well. It has a good sized swimming pool and some outdoor space. The surrounding areas are beautiful with dramatic hills all around. All in all we had a lovely week and we hope to return with more of our family.
