Lovely

Great location, they are renovating so the main lobby is relocated during this time to the garden side. We had an updated room on the 5th floor. It was very nice. No hair dryer, but not a big deal grabbed one at Walmart for $10. Linens and bed were fresh and comfy. Towels were nice and soft. Not the hotel fault but someone set off fire alarm at 8:30 ish this morning but was handled very well.5 flights of stairs means I got my steps in. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. It was unfortunately for us a weekend of youth baseball tournaments so lots of kids. My only suggestion is to not allow baseball to be played in the parking lot near cars, other than that staff was amazing. I asked for a suggestion of a less crowded area to sit outside for some quiet in the evening and the gentleman working suggested the patio area by the main lobby that is being renovated as no one was over there and told me how to get there on one of the the pretty paths and I found that to be a perfect spot to relax for a bit as the other areas and pool were just over flowing with children having fun. Staff planned well for the kids and had us on a floor with no baseball team so it was great!!! All in all a lovely place, we chosen it to try the restaurant or bar as after full days of seeing family and being in busy restaurants and bars we just wanted some quiet time in the evening.

Construction!

Check in was at the back of the hotel due to construction. Tree trimming was also being done at that entrance. The walkway was covered with tree limbs and branches. Not only was it inconvenient, but also unsafe. When we came back after dinner, there was very little lighting on the walkway. When we turned on the shower we had to wait almost 10 minutes for the hot water to come on. Room was dated. A microwave and safe would be helpful. We were unaware there would be construction

entire building being remodeled. everything is a mess. then at 7am they started CUTTING DOWN TREES right outside our window. literally. i’m currently listening to stomping and drilling from the lobby and saws cutting trees outside our window. i would go out of my way not to stay here again.
