The property was fine. The rooms could use an update. The staff at the front desk, valet and the restaurant were friendly and professional. Maid staff and service were exceptional.
I’ve stayed at many Hyatt hotels, and this location is the bottom of the barrel. First room had a toilet that overflowed from the first flush and no working lights around the mirror. We requested a new room and were granted it.
Second room had a working toilet and bathroom light, but the shower never got above lukewarm. The carpets are old and stained and ratty. The elevators feel as if they could disintegrate at any moment.
Pillows were not comfortable or firm at all. Breakfast is 22 bucks and not included. No hot tub.
Avoid this place. Go to a LaQuinta Inn or something. I would’ve been happier.

AC Didn’t Work
When I checked late the first night the room was hot. I closed the curtains & turned the AC to 65 to try to cool it off. The next morning, it was still hot & not blowing out cold air. I turned it down to 60 but that didn’t change anything. I went to the front desk to report it since I would be gone a few hours & they’d have time to resolve it. You could tell someone came in the room to fix it because the temperature had been changed but it was not fixed. I was not contacted to change rooms & the air was not fixed. By the time I got in the room it was so late I just slept on top of the covers. Worst experience I’ve ever had here.
For nearly 900 dollars for 2 nights I would expect not to find a cockroach the size of my thumb on the floor between beds. There was another in the hall as I was leaving Sunday. One thing I cannot abide are roaches.
Great location downtown next to Rupp Arena and only two blocks from the Opera House, where we went for a concert, not opera. Hotel was very clean and quiet and tech support was fast when we had a TV issue. Not all outside doors are unlocked late in the evening so it is good to check on what doors will get you back in. That is good for safety and security. Loved our stay.
We enjoyed our stay. The staff was helpful and tended to our needs. Our little boy loves the pool. We were there to attend the Comic Convention and knew that the area would be extremely busy with PBR also happening in the Rupp Arena. One of the elevators stopped working on Friday and was not serviced during the remainder of our visit. This made check out on Sunday extremely complicated and difficult with so many people trying to pack up and get out and one elevator down. But other than that, everything was great!
Always love staying here. Staff is great from front desk, cleaning/room service, and the staff at the restaurant in the hotel is incredible. Anthony at the bar made our trip. Awesome guy. Everyone was great though.
We have stayed many times when attending a UK game but we were terribly disappointed this time. The shower would not drain & we waited over 40 minutes for the valet to bring our car the next morning. Plus only one elevator was working.

We ate dinner at the hotel restaurant. The food was mediocre at best and the fish sandwich and fries were not hot and the bread was soggy.
Ate breakfast the next morning in the restaurant and the breakfast was good.
