Beautiful Hotel

I loved this hotel. I’m always traveling & this one is probably one of my favorites. The hotel was clean and nicely decorated. Rooms were extremely spacious and had big beautiful windows causing beautiful natural light. The beds were comfortable and the hotel didn’t have a smell. Finally a hotel with no smell. I’ll definitely will be staying there again

This is a very attractive property with well appointed rooms. It is close to museums, dining and shopping. The only complaint is that the entrance is off a steep, one-way road with no designated temporary parking for checking in. We had to haul our bags from a public lot a block away.

Nice boutique hotel a couple of blocks from main downtown area with plenty of dining options, shops, museums..including the Kentucky Historical Society directly across the street from the hotel. Only complaint was restaurant at Delegate does not serve breakfast or lunch M-F, only dinner from 4:pm on..maybe 5? Whichever. On weekends there is a brunch that doesn’t begin until 10:am..it’s very good, a bit expensive though and I wished they’d give you a regular breakfast option too. Plus there should be some sort of breakfast available thru the week that’s put out with the coffee at 7:am. Croissants, toast, jams, OJ, simple stuff..At least. Because you have to walk at least a couple of blocks to the nearest breakfast redtaurant( Main Diner) WHICH is very good, but very crowded quickly after opening. Limited seating. And there’s another one practically right next door..not as extensive breakfast menu. The hotel is clean, comfortable, unique, staffed well, no complaints. Parking is limited because the hotel sits on an incline…without many parking spaces requiring those who don’t get one of those to park behind the hotel in a lot requiring more walking with luggage than clients would like. The town is wonderful, with historical homes and buildings, located 30 minutes from Lexington. We’ll definitely go back.

Solid small boutique hotel with comfortable accommodations, efficient staff, and good restaurant. The rooms are just right for the price and are appointed sufficiently. Two problems: difficult parking..limited by its location, and the fact that the restaurant only serves brunch on the weekends..and is only open for dinner after 4:pm throughout the week. Coffee is available in the lobby after 7:am..a good thing. So, no breakfast or lunch weekdays. However..the positives of the hotel make us overlook the inconvenience of limited dining and the parking situation as there are plenty of restaurants within a few short blocks all easily walkable in the downtown area. Nice town Frankfort within 30 minutes of Lexington

Great Place to Stay!

It was a wonderful stay. All people at the front desk were very friendly and accommodating. Clean, quiet and very nice bed and linens. Get location. We went to a show at the Grand and walked. And, also walked to breakfast!

Bourbon Trail trip

We stayed at the Delegate because it was only a mile from Buffalo Trace Distillery where we were going the next day. Really cool older building that has been refurbished. Rooms were huge and well decorated. Beds were very comfortable. There was a restaurant/bar that was pretty cool as well. Great selections of bourbon at the bar. The dining was closing as we got there, but they offered to make up some appetizers for us. We had the poutine and calamari. Both were good. We will likely stay there again since it’s so close to Buffalo Trace and not too far from the Louisville and Bardstown regions for the Bourbon Trail.

Delegate hotel

One of the men from the front desk, unsure of his name but he has an Indian accent, has terrible customer service skills. I received an unusual email from the delegate and called to make sure our reservation was good to go, and he was incredibly rude on the phone. Otherwise, the hotel is very pretty; we didn’t realize it was fairly new. So everything is clean and looks nice. However, the rooms/amenities are beyond basic. The refrigerator barely got cold and was smaller than the already small typical hotel refrigerators. We requested a microwave b/c we meal prep and there are none. No gym, no pool/spa, no breakfast or even coffee, the front desk has to get ice from the back on the bottom floor. So if you’re looking for a pretty room to sleep in, this is great. If you want anything beyond that, then no. It is by far not the cheapest option in Frankfort, we will not be back.

Theres not a whole lot around the hotel. There are a few restaurants and bars, but dont expect anything on a Sunday evening. The town was very quiet and dead. We liked it, but if youre looking for night life, this probably isnt it. We liked the quietness of the area, although you can hear ypur neighbors. So, if you want to argue eith your wife about a towel, you probably should watch your voice level. The people under you really dont want to hear it and theull just start making fun of you.
