Tips for excursions: Lignano is an ideal starting point for day trips to Trieste and Venice (each approx. 100 km away). Venice's neighboring islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello are also extremely worth seeing. Murano is known for its around 150 glassblowers, which still produce the world-famous Venetian glass using traditional methods. Tours to Aquileia (48 km) or the lagoon town of Marano Lagunare (50 km) also offer variety on vacation with their sights.
