Disliked: Cleanliness
Accommodation not superb, at best ok.
Communication from owner poor. Entry instructions not even available days 24 hours before arrival. Had to chase owner and received instructions the morning we arrived in France. Picking up keys involved a 20 minute walk from the station. The keys were not available at 15:00 as promised and our limited French and the supermarket staffâs limited English meant we could not communicate. Messages via Verbo to Henry got no response. Eventually keys were delivered to the supermarket at 15:30.
Stayed in lots of places around the world, this apartment is described as âsuperbâ on Verso however it isnât because:
No vacuum cleaner to clean floors
No wine glasses
No bread board or chopping boards
Only one tea towel and one bin liner bag
TV reception very poor
Dust and hair on the floor on arrival, tops of skirting boards covered in dust too
Floor beneath sofa the floor was filthy and clearly hadnât been swept or vacuumed in months
Sofa cushions dirty and stained
No curtains or shutters in living room
Broken, useable dining table chair
There are no appliance instructions, no recommendations or leaflets
On the other hand it does have:
A small laundry room with good washer/dryer
Lots of crockery, cutlery, tumblers
Coffee machine with coffee pods
Plenty of bedding, sheets and towels
Good WiFi (instructions from owner incorrect)
Light airy living/dining/kitchen overlooks wooded gardens one side and river the other
