Blue Moby is a magical place for your large family or friend-group. There is room for 16 to lounge together in the living room and eat in the dining room. Beds are: 2 kings, 3 queens, a bunk that has a twin and a full mattress as well as a twin mattress that pulls out from under the full, and also a hideaway queen/sofa. Two of the bedrooms and the game room each have their own entrances, which is a great feature for privacy. Open concept living area on third floor has ocean view--the whole house is very open and light. To get to the beach, take a three-block walk on a secret neighborhood trail to Road's End State Park.

Our host Sally was very welcoming! The property was perfect for our family ages 3 through 70! And being coffee lovers, we thoroughly enjoyed the specialty roasted coffee supplied by the host!

Host was very responsive. Living room and kitchen were excellent space for our large group of 14 to gather and enjoy time together. Most of the bedrooms were comfortable. My only reason for a 4 rather than a 5 is that we had several older women in our group and navigating all the stairs was challenging. Having 3 of the bedrooms accessible from the lowest part and only accessible from outside was not the best set up for our group. The game room which has only a pull out bed has no access to bathroom unless you go outside. The bunk room has only 1 bunk bed and a box bed that pulls out from underneath. Great for kids but not older women. We did not get accurate information about these odd configurations until the day before and it is not included in the details on the website. We made the best of it and enjoyed our time but wanted others to know before booking.

We were a party of 12 adults and one baby so we really needed enough space to spread out. This house is very cozy and accommodating and we really enjoyed it. Pros: Sally, the host, was very communicative and available. Sally answered all my questions before we arrived and was very helpful during the the short weather related power outage we experienced. The house can accommodate several couples with bedrooms that have en-suite bathrooms. There’s plenty of other bedrooms to accommodate singles or kids. The kitchen was well appointed and had everything we needed during our stay including some basic spices, extra coffee, and plenty of cookware. The hot tub and beach easy beach access were also a bonus. Lastly, there’s plenty of parking to accommodate 5 cars. Some things to consider since we really don’t have Cons to this property: the social (kitchen/dining/living area) is upstairs from the main entrance so all groceries and supplies we had to walk up the stairs. The game room was a nice extra room, but it’s small and wouldn’t fit more than 2-3 people hanging out at one time. It’s also detached from the house and we actually never used it.

Beautiful house and great location. Our extended family stayed here with ages ranging from 3 to 64 yrs old and everyone had a great time. Open kitchen and living space upstairs perfect for large groups with a balcony and view of ocean. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate a mix of couples and seven children. Sally was super responsive to all of my questions. The children especially loved the deer they could see from the balcony and in the park across the street. Would highly recommend!

Family Beach Vacay 2025

This home provided enough space for our entire family to gather for our annual family beach vacation; yet, it also allowed rooms for people to break off and take a shower, nap, or spend some "me" time. We truly appreciated the variety of rooms. The kitchen was the perfect size for feeding our crew and had the amenities to make that possible. We really enjoyed the upper level of the home with the ocean view, lots of windows, a fireplace, BBQ, and a large dining table for playing board games. We would definitely consider this home as a favorite and be excited to visit again!

Stay at the Moby Dick

Wonderful house with perfect layout for our needs. Very clean and very responsive host. A few very minor suggestions would be more towel racks since a large group can stay there and couple of recliners or similar for seating for older folks. We loved the upstairs bedroom for my elderly mother in law. She didn’t have to go up or down stairs hardly at all. The low couches were hard for her to get in and out of, however.

What a great house for a family!

The house is everything it's listed to be. Owner so responsive and communication was excellent. So clean, in a great neighborhood where it's quiet and all the other houses are just as beautiful. Definitely will be staying again at this great house.

Great for groups with kids

We were very happy with how much space there was in this home. We had a very large group with 10 kids and we were able to find comfortable sleeping arrangements for everybody. The kids loved the hot tub and the playground next-door. And the beach was an easy walking distance away. We also enjoyed the many board and card games that they had available.

Everything and a View!

Beautiful and everything you need in a retreat location. A view of the ocean and close to amenities in town. Saw deer each day and enjoyed the serene and creatively designed vacation home. So close to the beach! Our group loved all of it.

Excellent retreat

We just had a 25th high school reunion there with 14 of our dearest friends from high school. The house was exactly as we had imagined and was the perfect location for strolls on the beach and nice little hiking trails. It was a fairly blustery weekend but we felt very cozy with a fireplace and lots of games to play. There was plenty of tea and coffee to choose from as well as nicely stock showers. Thank you so much for an amazing week. We hope to be back someday.!

Beautiful house

We had nine ladies stay. It was a beautiful house with lots of light. Comfortable beds. Big kitchen open to the living room. Hot tub was great. Ocean view from main back deck. Several deck sitting areas. Two rooms were accessible outside the house. We had trouble getting the living room tv to work. The owner talked with us and sent a link. No cable but you can sign into streaming services

Best for a big group

Sally is very responsive to my messages even when she's on the road. She's also very accommodating to specific requests and is very detailed with her responses to queries about her house. Everything is exactly as described in the listing and the property is very clean and nicely located in Lincoln City. We enjoyed our stay and this place is highly recommended.

What a Fabulous Place

Close to the beach, fully stocked, convenient to grocery store, eateries, well, everything! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Blue Moby. Sally was on top of everything, and so very gracious. Grandparents, parents, aunt and uncle, grandkids--something wonderful for every one of us. We all agreed it would be terrific to come back.
