Cheap for a reason

Overnight on the way to Washington DC. I can’t get over how dirty the room was. Toothpaste on the bathroom sink and what looked like blood splatter on the door. Child pencil drawing on the bathroom door, filthy mirror in the closet, just gross. Also mud and filth in hallway outside the door. Also smelled like smoke.

Not the best

Check in was slow. The man behind the counter, spoke little English and not very welcoming. Both front doors were broken, so not only was it freezing on the lobby, we had to literally open amd close the emergency doors by hand - definitely not safe. The room, although was slacious, felt dirty. The rooms surrounding us, clearly people living in the hotel, had their children runnig wild. Would definitely NOT suggest this to hotel.

Great location but poor condition.

Some of the furnishings should be thrown in the dumpster. Shower had black spots under the caulking. The place it in a great location and staff was borderline friendly. Needs to be updated.

Everything was great except the stovetop kept cutting off on us. We reached out to the front desk who said to turn the timer all the way which we did but it still kept cutting off. Other than that everything was wonderful and we would definitely stay here again!

I like candlewood because of the space in the rooms and the kitchen. However, this room did not have a wrap around eating counter which we really missed. Otherwise it was a great stay.

I will never choose to stay at another Candlewood property again. Not because of anything I experienced at the physical hotel because I never even had the chance to. I booked my room well in advance of arriving there to check in. Upon checking in I was told the their hotel does not accept prepaid cards. I was “able” to book the room with my Venmo card. So I get turned away, as I am standing there in the lobby holding my receipt, not a care in the world that it’s 1:45am or the thought of maybe, “How was this guy to even know such a thing as not to use his Venmo card or any other “prepaid” card as they called them, to book the room. How was he to even know when there was NOTHING stating such a thing on their booking page through Expedia. Anywho, that is all. Make your own assessment of it.
