Helpful staff, easy to find your way around Lisbon. A bit far from the centre of the city but ok if you don’t mind walking or can take bus or metro.

Nice place with a nice price

We had a really nice stay at the Castilho Lisbon suites. The room was nice and clean, and the receptionist and owner were really service minded. The lock to our room was broken, so we could only lock it from the outside, not the inside. The owner fixed this the next morning. You can hear all the sounds/noise from the hallway, luckily there wasn't not too much trafic in the hallway. Still it was a lovely place to stay and the price was nice! I will reccomend staying here.

Overall a good stay

The location is great - in a clean and safe area and near public transport. The room is very small and basic but clean and tidy. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Guests can use the kitchen and breakfast area is quite nice and spacious. One thing did bother me a little was the noise - the walls are wafer-thin and you can hear everything going on outside your room, especially at night and early morning when people come in and out of the hotel and talk in the kitchen and corridor.

Funky, stylish AND practical

Really stylish rooms in a recently refurbished part of an older building. Great shower! Use of a communal kitchen too, which was really handy (especially the kettle), and there are a few small convenience stores nearby. The staff are really helpful, but be careful with your arrival time...

Great guest house - perfect location.

This guest house is in an excellent location. It’s close to the metro, the hop on hop off bus loop. The rooms are very clean and quite comfortable. Not all the rooms have the see through glass between the room and bathroom. We had a room with two twin beds and the bathroom had regular walls. The staff is absolutely amazing! They really made our stay. There was very little counter space near our bathroom sink but it was fine. There are no drawers in the room for clothes but there is a rod to hang your clothes on with two shelves underneath (no closet). There was a small side table between the two beds. If I had to nitpick, I’d have preferred a slightly bigger one. Take your toiletries as all there is there is a soap dispenser in the shower and one near the bathroom sink. Shower is fantastic. You can keep items in the fridge (common kitchen) and they provide a Nespreso machine and teabags. The place is so clean and the interior connection through wifi is excellent. Thank you to Daniela and all her colleagues for taking such wonderful care of my mom and me.

A good place for the travelling hipsters

Good for people on a budget who have a student style attitude. The shared facilities are excellent and students travelling would find this an ideal option for the facilities and location. Easy transport links and the option to buy local food from local markets and cook up a storm for sharing.

Family vacation at Lisbon

I did not feel secure and comfortable in this place. Front door is well secure but not our room which is one of the 12 rooms in the apartment. If I knew it is an apartment NOT a hotel during my reservation I will never book this. It is not a fault of the apartment owner but Hotels.com.

3 nights in Lisbon

The standard of the room was very good - the finish was very smart and modern and the room was very clean. The bed was comfortable. The shower was also very good. Some toiletries were provided (handwash and showergel). Also, the hotel was very quiet - both inside and outside. This helped a good night sleep. There is a kitchen area to make your own food too which is a good option. The metro is around 5 minutes walk away then you have a 5 minute trip into the centre.

Nice hotel in the city

My kids and I stayed here over the summer for two nights and we loved it. At first it wasn’t the easiest to find but once we were there we couldn’t have been happier. Beautiful room and space to eat and cook. Would definitely recommend and hopefully we’ll be back with family in the future.

Nice modern suites with big common area/kitchen

Nice new rooms and the common area is spacious and comfortable, with a great kitchen with everything you need (including a coffee machine and kettle and fridge). The only thing that needs fixing is curtains need to be installed in the glass walls of the bathroom - lack of privacy when going to the toilet! There is a metro station about 5 minutes walk from the accommodation but it s on a slope so careful when hauling luggage.

Fun guesthouse, great design, clean, friendly

We only had a short stay but loved this guesthouse, complete with kitchen, dining and lounging area. While not in the historic part of town we were told it is about a 20 minutes walk to Rossi and beyond. The design is very pleasant, it is squeaky clean, our host was very friendly in checking us in. This is not a traditional hotel so no lobby, you want to arrange for your arrival beforehand if you will be outside of normal hours, which we were, but all was very smooth.

Nice hotel, amazing value in prime centrl location

Not a typical hotel with full time 24h receptionist, but everything else largely compensated for it: great friendly helpful staff (thank you Vera and José), modern room, nice kitchen with free espresso coffee, and ideal location footsteps from subway station and visit-Lisbon bus tour terminal made our 3-day stay in Lisbon amazing. Keep up the good work!

Evaluation

No sign out in front! - but there was a tiny note of their existence next to the door. Locked doors to get in. Night guard told me how to get upstairs to the "hotel". Again, NO sign on the door and it was was locked. Altho I had a guaranteed reservation (thru Expedia) - they sold the room out from under us. Fortunately, I had a phone number to call - I gave it to the "guard" and someone came to find us a place to stay. They then drove us around and around to get a hotel - for us. After 1 1/2 hours, I said "Bite the bullet and get us a place!" We were put up at the very next hotel - but for only one night. So then we were moved in to a room at Castilho Lisbon for the second night! So that meant more packing and unpacking due to their screw-up. Plus, no breakfast - probably the only hotel in Europe that doesn't offer one. I would NEVER RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO anyone.
