The studio is very clean and adorable, and I felt safe. The area is very walkable (with cobblestones and hills), and has many restaurants and bodegas nearby. The water pressure is great. The linens and towels are nice quality. The host responded quickly to any questions, and had provided some milk, juice, bread, and other helpful items like hairspray and a reusable bag to bring to the market.
There are patio restaurants in the square below the window, so there are people setting up, talking, smoking, and other things that might frustrate some people. It was quiet after about 11pm until about 9am, and I slept well in the comfortable bed with either soft or tempurpedic pillow options.
I walked to several tourist spots that are 10-20 minutes away. You can order a Bolt car service through the app and go almost anywhere for 4 euros, and there are tuk tuks for hire in the apartment square. I saw buses but didn't use them so I can't share about that.
I took a taxi from the airport because had internet issues, and the driver charged me 25 euros and brought me to an area above the apartment. I couldn't find the narrow cobblestone street the apartment was on for the first time from up there, especially with luggage. I recommend asking for the Fado Museum rather than the apartment address, and take a Bolt from the airport for about 10 euros, then use the photos and instructions the kind hosts send.
