Very clean property. Charming owner. If you have mobility problems it is at the top of a steep hill and on the second floor, but that's Lisbon!Not far from Avenida Liberdade and quite a number of good restaurants and a small supermarket nearby.

The owner Catarina was very nice and helpful. She met with us at the time we wanted and allowed early checkin since we had an overnight flight. Getting to the area by car was challenging in the last road (very narrow) but we did it only once to bring the luggages. There was parking available about 10 min walk away (Pombal park). A few restaurant were available in the area (some local with good food) and public transportation was about 8 min walk. The apartment is very clean (with clean sheets and pillows) and beds were comfortable. It was perfect for what we needed. Id stay there again

Wonderful VRBO!

Having Catarina meet us at the VRBO was wonderful and letting us drop off our luggage 4 hours early was really appreciated.Great location, very close to the old town yet located in a quiet neighborhood with lots of authentic Portuguese restaurants.Highly recommended and would stay here next time we come to Lisbon.

Cozy and small but all the space you need, since you won’t spend much time at home! Nearby grocery and plenty of food options. A hilly walk to transit but that’s Lisbon! Nice dark bedrooms

A great visit to Lisbon!

We had a great stay on our first trip to Lisbon. The location was proximal to the city center and accessible to restaurants, transportation, and attractions. Catarina was very communicative and every time we had a question - she responded very promptly. We were welcomed with a nice bottle of wine and were sent on our way with a delicious bag of cinnamon milk chocolate covered almonds. We highly recommend this property if you are planning a stay in Lisbon!

Short weekend

The apartment was in a good position and about 20 mins walk from the centre. We had a problem with the boiler so we couldn't have proper showers and due to it being a weekend it couldn't be sorted before we left but the contact with the host was good and without any arguments we were offered a good refund to compensate.It is at the top of a steep road and on the 3rd floor so lots of steps so not good for someone who doesn't have good mobility. The property was clean and overall, if it wasn't for the boiler issue was a good place to stay

Pretty good location, within 25 minute walk to most attractions. We had some issues with intermittent hot water in the shower, and the electrical breaker tripping due to multiple heaters plugged in.

Mini Vacation

Catarina’s family apartment was the perfect place to stay while on vacation in Lisbon. It’s a vintage build surrounded by small little streets. It’s a third floor so you have a better view of the little narrow streets ways. It’s near one of the most famous avenue and it’s a short walking distance to a Metro station. Lovely apartment in a great neighborhood!

Catarina was so helpful during the whole booking process and the stay. Check in went well as she greeted us at the apartment. Check out went smoothly as well. The apartment is exactly as it is shown in the pictures and it is very clean. Being with a 2.5yo, the little games and puzzles made available helped a lot with entertaining. The location is in a great and safe location. As many locations in Lisbon, the apartment is at the top of a small hill. The start was great and I would definitely recommend to a friend or return if the chance presents itself. Thanks again! if

Excellent apartment in the heart of Lisbon

We had a great stay. I read a review mentioning a loud bar nearby and it was simply untrue. The noise was similar to anything else you will experience in an urban environment. If you would like to be immersed in the local culture of Lisbon, this place is for you. We had a great time. The apartment is near public transit and close to restaurants. Walking in Lisbon involves steep hills and stairs and getting to the apartment involves hills and stairs.

Clean and helpful

This property is in a great location. Close proximity to the subway and delicious food. When our flight was cancelled owner offered to let us stay an extra day if needed. The shower was not technically a shower as the spray nozzle had to be held and was too short to reach the installed holder. If one wants to get a real feel for how people live, this quaint place is it. 3 flights of narrow stairs, so pack light. We had a rental car and overnight parking was a 10 minute walk. Not owner’s fault just an fyi. No air, but we were lucky that the weather was not too hot and opening the windows first thing and at night was all that was needed. We didn’t cook, but it looked like there was access to all one needs. Neighbor kids love to play outside so it can be noisy if you do leave the windows open. When shut, the windows and shutters offer a great deal of sound proofing. WiFi worked well, as my husband needed to do some work. The kitchen table is on of those IKEA small space tables that folds down super small and then folds out hard to move, but workable. Bring some slippers you can buy cheap at IKEA as the wood floor is ancient (but beautiful) and tended to catch on socks. It is at the top of a hill, but what isn’t in Portugal? Felt safe walking late at night. Door locks are typical European doors and figuring out how to open them does take some time.

Week in Lisbon
