The hotel is a short 5/10 minute walk from John Lewis and Liverpool One so centrally located. Hotel staff were all friendly and we had a very efficient and pleasant check in. Rooms are nice and well equipped, nice to have decent coffee and a couple of free soft drinks in the minibar. I must say I was a little disappointed with the mattress quality/feel. Not a dealbreaker but it’s certainly in the bottom tier of hotel beds I’ve slept in over the past year especially when this so rated as 4*. Not sure if it was just our room but was also aware through the night of gurgling noises / the sound of flushing pipes - not ideal but not enough to complain. If I was staying more than one night I would have. Breakfast was nice, well stocked continental and a la carte - no complaints. Overall a decent hotel for the price, but if I go back to Liverpool I may look at other options.

Lovely staff. Very friendly and go out of their way to help. Building itself really nice. Room fantastic. Really comfy bed. Gorgeous shower. I would have liked conditioner in the shower though.

The staff were all so friendly and helpful. We appreciated their hospitality, kindness, and respect. The staff at the place we had just left in London acted like we were putting them out. When we arrived in Liverpool, we felt welcomed and cared for, and not in a condescending way. It was our first time staying at the Halyard, and we would definitely do so again!

Comfy bed, snacks and dash were a nice touch. Shower is great, hairdryer is a real one! Staff make this place even better - I’ve stayed twice and both times were excellent. Great value for money too.

What a treat!

This hotel was absolutely beautiful. The staff were charming and helpful, and would go the extra mile for you without hesitation. You were never made to feel anything other than welcome. The room was clean as a whistle and even the inside of the kettle and coffee machine were sparkling. The bedlinen was crisp and white , and the bed was blissfully comfortable. When it came to the food it was all freshly cooked and prepared . Obviously the chefs were highly skilled. I enjoyed the best chargrilled sea bass I had tasted in addition to the most perfectly cooked Eggs Benedict at breakfast. Particularly caring and helpful were Chrissa and Ellie in the restaurant, and Billy and Pete the concierges. Nothing was too much trouble for them. I was very late to breakfast and my friend who is disabled was worried what had happened when she could not get me on the phone. They took the trouble to try the room phone, and when I didn't answer that straight away, despatched Billy and another member of staff to bang on the door in case I was ill, becuse my friend was so worried. They were very solicitous when I arrived in the nick of time to have breakfast, making sure that I was really all right. It was a real credit to them and the hotel. I would be happy to stay there again without a doubt

The hotel is superb. Only one year old and beautifully decorated and furnished. The rooms are really well designed and very elegant. The staff are phenomenal, professional and very welcoming. The location is perfect, walking distance to Liverpool One shopping complex and the Albert Docks and also to Liverpool Cathedral. I can totally recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to have a special experience during their visit to Liverpool.

Beautifully designed, the public spaces give off both welcoming and "hip" vibes, making one want to come in and hang out awhile. Our room was not just clean and comfy, but surprisingly spacious. Best of all, the staff were friendly and knowledgeable.
