The Argyle Square Hotel is one of the many Boutique style hotels in Argyle Square and adjacent streets. I have stayed in many of them over the years. What set Argyle Square a little above, for me, was the smiling, helpful and friendly staff. You don't expect five-star luxury at these hotels, but the room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the towels changed daily. This hotel does not offer breakfast, but there are loads of eating places nearby. The location is excelllent for those coming to London by train, as it's just across from Kings Ccross Station and a short walk to Euston Station. The WiFi connected easily, and the shower had good water pressure, at the right temperature.

The shower was incredibly small and the vertical shower head was very dirty, so unusable, while the hand shower head was pointed straight across, making it difficult to start using. Also no elevator.

Location was excellent in proximity the rail services, restaurants and coffee shops. Staff were enormously polite and helpful. The stairs are a little work (inescapable) given people may be traveling with heavy suitcases. Also not wheelchair friendly.

Great budget choice

For a no-frills budget stay this was perfect. I did however give up on the shower as it was too hot in a very small space and I figured best to avoid getting scolded! But that's just a head's up for others and not even a complaint as finding a place to stay below 70 a night in London is greatly appreciated.

The larger bedroom was tiny, all night it sounded like furniture was being dragged above us. The facilities in the room were very poor. The bed and table were metal put me up furniture that can be folded down like in a camp site. The stairs were very steep, no lifts. There was no-one in reception to speak to, jusy a number to call, after 3 attempts not able to contact anyone as the number wasn't available. No refund offered even after expedia contacted them. It was something like the seedy cheap hotels you see in the movies, but it wasn’t cheap. If you want somewhere nice to stay, this isn't it.

Very thin walls meaning you could hear every word coming from the rooms around you . Noisy guests coming in at all hours not thinking of other guests in the hotel . Tiny bathroom .....just really not goid enough

Easy access to King’s Cross Station for train to York and for public transit (91 Bus to Trafalgar Square) and Piccadilly Line to Heathrow. Amenities were as expected (USB outlet as well as electrical outlet for charging devices) and basic things such as nice warm shower, shampoo, body wash etc. we’re all good. Did not have facial tissues or maybe I just did not see any.

Terrible Experience – Avoid This Hotel! Worst hotel experience ever! I arrived close to midnight after a concert and found a spider 🕷️ in the room. My daughter was terrified, and although the receptionist removed it using a towel from the bed, the hotel later denied that there had ever been a spider! When I asked to change rooms, I was told there were none available. The only option offered was a “family room” at double the price — an extra £71 on top of my £164 booking! The room itself was awful: wobbly beds, a sideways TV, a tiny bathroom with no toilet roll, and very poor service. When I refused to pay extra, we left at 00:28 and ended up walking near King’s Cross in the middle of the night. Completely unacceptable — never again! I have reported this incident to Expedia for further investigation.
