Nice apartment in the heart of the Theatre District with lots of dining options. We stayed 4 nights in June and found it a little stuffy without air conditioning (heating only) and difficult to get suitcases up and down the multiple flights of stairs. Overall a great location for a weekend away when you travel light and want to see a few musicals and walk to the sights.

Good enough

Reviewing 5 stars because we have no real complaints, but we’re also not too picky. Very spacious and great value for London. Clean apartment but a little worn. Great communication from host. Very busy street, right in the middle of Chinatown next to a Chinese restaurant. Yes there’s like 70 steps up, so keep that in mind, but not a huge deal. Yes noisy at night especially on Friday Saturday night, but if you close the living room door it’s not bad. All in all good experience, would stay again.

Super and quiet apartment

This lovely apartment has been recently refurbished to a very good standard. The room(s) are spacious and clean. There’s a nice bathroom with a walk-in shower (could do with an extractor fan). The bed is comfortable and linen is spotless. Despite being in a busy part of town the place is quiet because it is behind buildings and entered across an internal courtyard. The instructions to get in are clear and easy to follow. There are stairs up to the apartment which could be a challenge for some. There are many restaurants around, which meant that we did see traps for rodents, but didn’t see any in the courtyard. It is definitely a place I would stay in again.

Great, Clean Apartment in super central location

Great apartment in heart of Soho and Chinatown. The apt is spacious and clean, and all the normal "hotel" elements were great (e.g. towels, soap, etc.) Only thing to call out -- it's a third floor walk up w/o a lift/elevator, so for those that aren't interested in stairs -- this one could be a problem.

Great location. However I've never felt more unwelcome to a hotel/apartment that I've paid to stay in (and I'm a platinum Expedia member). After I did the verification online with my ID and face, I received an email saying that they noticed my Expedia account said London so could I tell them more about my trip and specifically why I needed the accommodation. I was asked also to confirm all daytime and nighttime visitors (for benefit of those reading this it was just myself).

My experience at HAUSD in Chinatown/Soho couldn't have been better. I was there for work and my office is around the corner so it made my commute a breeze. Big apartment with kitchen and living room area. Nice size bed, and bathroom with powerful shower. The apartmentment was extremely clean and everything in it worked. The only thing that could be a negative to some is that there is no lift and 3rd floor is 69 steps up. After a couple days there it was a non-factor and didn't bother me at all. I'll stay there again and again. Also, Lau was my contact and extremely responsive to any emails I sent. A .

To avoid

A few things were broken and not fixed (ceramic floor tiles, kitchen's fan, walls etc...). I askeda few months before for a bathtub and it seems like it was not possible because I got a shower. It would have been nice to be informed beforehand...I would have cancelled my booking. The flat was next to the firemen station, so the noise was high and constant. The cleaning needs to improve a lot! No communication whatsoever. Overall a pretty bad experience

Love the 2 King Beds & kitchen! Clean and win with the laundry! Walk up is a drag and it’s certainly not quiet with the Fire brigade across the street, but we used a white noise machine and it was Zzzzzz no problem.

The unit was nice. The area surrounding is busy and noisy until about midnight. The number 2 flat was a walk up 50 steps which for us was difficult to get luggage up and down. I requested a lower unit to avoid stairs but the lower unit was above businesses so 50 stairs is the minimum. Because of the stairs this would not be an option for us in the future.

Great apartment and location

Great apartment, very spacious and modern. Had everything we needed, wasn’t sure about been in the middle of china town as so busy but was great. Easy to get around and wasn’t two noisy when went to bed as bedroom was in the back. Contact with owners was excellent and replied to any questions straight away. Would defiantly stay again 👍

The apartment was beautiful and the beds were so comfortable. It was very clean and very well maintained. We actually loved the place. The apartment is actually in china town and was very hard to find. We had no messages from the property to let us know the address or lock box information and it was very difficult for us to make contact using our Canadian cell phones. Most places in Europe we found used what’s app but this place did not. Luckily we had a very nice gentleman call the property on our behalf so we could figure out where it was and how to get in. Initially we thought we were scammed given the lack of communication even though we found out later that apparently they emailed us with the check-in information but we never received it. It was pretty stressful but once we were able to get in, we loved the space. This is the only reason for a 4 star.

Great apartment and excellent location for visiting central London. Everything you could want is easily walkable or easy to reach by tube or bus. You just have to be fit and willing to tackle the stairs. We had the top floor and while the terrace/view/quiet of the apartment was great, it was 5 flights of very narrow stairs. Also no AC was challenging on a warm day, but leaving windows cracked at night was fine. If you're young and don't have much luggage it's perfect. Not recommended for older travelers.

Pros: Great central location in the heart of China Town (adjacent to Soho/ Piccadilly/ Leicester Square). Nice, light and spacious apartment with everything you need. Cons: Quite a few steps to get up and down (which might be an issue for some with heavy luggage). No air con and gets very hot if the weather is warm. Above China Town restaurants and so relatively loud constant kitchen extractor noise if you open the (double) windows. However overall the pros outweigh the cons for convenience and would stay again but avoid warmer months.
