A beach house made up of an early 1900's railway carriage with modern bathroom and living amenities added on, to create a funky character-filled atmosphere that's relaxed and inviting.

A mere 5 minute stroll to the white sand of Long Beach where you can rock climb, boogie board, swim, fish or just walk along the quiet open beach and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.

At home there's a big screen TV, fireplace, BBQ and plenty of space to enjoy a family get together or use the kitchen to cook up a storm.

25 minutes out of Dunedin, so not far from supermarkets etc. but far enough away to be out of the hustle and bustle of a city.

Wonderfully quirky and unique. We loved our stay. Great location, stunning beach with a well equipped house. Lots of firewood, friendly neighbour dropped off extra too. Other heating options available, lots of blankets and plenty of space. Brilliant and quick communication with hosts.

Great place to stay fire was great beds are great nice an quiet neighborhood. Door handle alarm keeped going off throughout the night, i told the owners hopefully thats fixed for the next person.

Great potential, just needs a few tweaks to make it more comfortable! This seems to be a newish listing so just need to get familiar with what guests want/need.Ran out of firewood and there was a lack of blankets but the owner was extremely obliging and rectified!

Such a great wee get away spot not too far from Dunedin city. 2min walk to the beach and it is beautiful even on a miserable day. Has everything you could need for a week away with a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom and laundry. Fire heats the whole house but there are also lots of other heating options. Friendly hosts and the property was clean and tidy and well looked after. Looking forward to our next trip already!

Characterful train cottage

Amazing characterful warm and clean cottage. Plenty of firewood available and other heating options and plenty of towels. Could do with a few more cooking utensils but heaps of coffee and tea options as well as hot choc and an otherwise well stocked kitchen. Would definitely recommend a stay.
