Great proximity to the beach and a nice gulf view from the porch/living room. Grounds are nicely kept and the unit was very clean. Could use an update on the flooring and mattresses. Fire alarm went off every morning at 8:15am, unsure if this is a consistent occurrence.

This property was such a disappointment. Not clean, Blinds in LR and Sliding door not working. Carpet dirty and lacking proper backing. Found bedding not changed, huge stains in mattress pad, sheets and comforter.Air conditioning not working properly. THIS UNIT NEEDS CLEANING AND UPDATING. VERY POOR CONDITION.

Amazing location

While the condo itself is a little outdated, it was very comfortable for our family of 4. The location is absolutely fantastic. Wish there were keypad locks rather than keyed locks which automatically lock behind you (we got locked out the first night) but the property is well equipped, very clean, and steps from the beach.

Loved the easy access to the beach, and the fact that there were chairs and umbrellas to use! AC didn’t work super great, but it was ok until it got super hot outside. Could use a washer and dryer inside, if ever interested in doing that.

June Vacation

Nice place. Convenient access to the beach. Clean and seems to be maintained well on the exterior. We did have an issue with an exhaust fan in the bathroom that we asked to be looked at and never heard from them. Other than that a nice quiet family friendly atmosphere. The free lounge chairs were very nice to have use of on the beach. Would stay here again. Some rooms have a better view of the ocean as did this one.

Sand Cay stay

We loved the Sand Cay resort. Our unit was very clean - it could us a little updating, but for a short term rental, we were very happy there. Thank you for the wonderful vacation - we hope to return to Sand Cay.

Quiet and beautiful

Our stat was short and sweet, only 3 days. Beach was quiet not too many people. Weather was beautiful. Our condo was clean. So nice that you allowed for a shorter stay not many places will! Appreciated that!

Memorial Day weekend

This is our second time to stay at this property on longboat key. Everything went well. Our view of the ocean was beautiful. The proximity to the beach and ease of getting little kids back and forth from the beach easily is the main reason we stay here. I also like how everything is funneled into a communal space with the pool, the grills, grass running space, etc—it creates a very positive vibe. I would definitely bring my family back for more fun here in the future.

Great location

We come to LBK several times a year but this was our first time staying at Sand Cay. Great location. We will probably try Sand Cay again when we have more time to actually enjoy the resort itself but I’d most likely book a different unit. It’s great staying somewhere that provides beach chairs etc. This particular unit has an amazing view, great patio, very quiet. We arrived late and it was super easy to get our stuff but finding the unit in the dark for the first time was not (maybe some signage would help or there is some at the stairs and we missed it?) It has small bathrooms and uncomfortable beds (and personal preference we prefer the bedrooms/bathrooms to be more split up and not on top of each other) and the kitchen is super awkward (hard to explain until you start looking for cups). Honestly, if they updated the beds I would give this unit another try because the other things are minor.

Beautiful getaway

I was visiting with my family for a quick getaway around spring break and had a wonderful time. The location is central in Longboat key and about equidistant to the Bradenton and Sarasota egress points. Traffic was a problem going towards Bradenton for most of the day. The units are Clean and efficient for a small group and well stocked. There are multiple views available including Gulf front, gulf view etc. There are only a few units with a direct front view of the gulf. Please check out the website and familiarize yourself with the layout to know exactly what view you want. There are always enough beach chairs and gorgeous views of the setting sun. Bayfront park is close by and we got a spectacular Sunrise across Sarasota bay. Wonderful front desk staff, easy check in process. There are also multiple recycle bins within the property . Very happy with our experience.
